Labour’s ‘student politics’ will - hopefully - be their undoing. This also begs the question, how can a guy with no real business/commercial experience be appointed as Business Secretary?
I've always believed it , in fact as a kid in the 60's I remember watching a film about a drought in the outback where scientists shot chemicals into the higher reaches and created flash floods which saved the day.

Indeed we are ,if Starmer get his way our standing in the UN will be considerably weakened . Fury as Keir Starmer plots to further weaken UK abroad after Chagos Island giveaway (msn.com)
The unions will make sure their members get their super pay rises and the government will put red carpets out to them....the rest of us will have to suffer as we do not count....
Covid demonstrated that we need manufacturing capability in the UK - be it pharmaceutical products (including drugs/vaccines), PPE equipment, etc. Steel is - should be - a strategic asset. Surely, the Government should have told Tata to hand them the keys and secured primary steel making. Bloody hell, Tata effectively saved £billions by walking away from the Company Pension Scheme so don’t give me their ‘crocodile tears’ over losses at PT. They - Tata - in my opinion, failed in developing the UK assets that they wanted so much.
Tata destroyed any chance of port Talbot competing with mainland India's steel by shutting down all blast furnaces and speeding the decline before they walk away. In case brit gov had the balls to nationalise it ?
To be honest, UK manufactured flat steel products don’t really compete with the equivalent Indian made flat steel products. I’ve been around the plant in Jamshedpur. The steel produced there is primarily for the Indian market. Arguably, Port Talbot’s biggest competitors are Arcelor, Thyssen and Tata’s Ijmuiden plant in The Netherlands. Tata’s decision to put the Dutch in control of Port Talbot was - in my opinion - a catastrophic mistake for the UK ….
Tice agreeing with what I said last week about the arc furnaces becoming unviable ! It's one of the biggest scandals in quite some time in what they are doing to the industry ! This level of self harm can only be attributed to enemies of grey Britain in charge that do nothing but attack Britain and it's British citizens. The enemy within has got to the top at every important station ? Or they're just THICK as **** and should never have got where they are ?
