I have always felt that O'Neill and Sunderland would be a match made in heaven, and the next couple of years will show one way or the other if I was right...

I agree Mr White, he's always been THE man for the job , just something right about it. It was a travesty that Cloughie didn't come here all those years ago but I firmly believe that we have one of his disciples now.

Best choice for me. As people know only too well at SAFC, only time will tell, and some managerial choices have been disasters, (Lawrie Mac, Sgt Wilko, Mick Buxton, etc.) but MO'N's the one I'd have gone for.

    Happy days!

What's our luck? That you had Bruce in charge? Or is this another sad attempt sourced from jealousy, whose main aim is to deride a team who have earned all their points on merit?

I hope it's the former, because the latter is illogical (which annoys me more than any sad wumming attempt). We were indeed fortunate you had Bruce, he gave us some priceless moments.

Now I believe Sunderland are fortunate O'Neill was still on the market. Great manager and man. The only negative I can see in his career is the whole celebratory mood in the Villa dressing room when he left there... What was that about?

January is going to be exciting for you chaps. Very exciting (not "stonk on" levels I hope, because that's troubling).

Good luck lads. We were hoping he would return to us but that was a pipe dream with our present ****er of an owner.

Why will we be squirming? We've had our best start since our 96/97 campaign, and have a winnable game against one of the biggest clubs in world football coming up tomorrow to cement 4th place.
This is all happening while you lot lie in 16th, with a new manager inheriting a poor squad, and a relegation battle against Wolves this weekend.

I suppose you could always mould the **** dust into a nugget, freeze it and polish it? Maybe my whole theory has been wrong the whole time and you may actually win the league next year? *ponders
