First game I went to with my mates I was ten Absolutely **** scared walking back down North rd Sunderland everywhere!!
I was also at that game....i remember it well....because a Sunderland **** did a big green goz in my face...ive hated the ****s ever since....hate them more than tws
Alright for you. I had to get back to the station. The John Hawley 30 yarder ... from about 15 yards. Cracking goal though.
When did we last win on a Sunday? Can't recall any! Can think of plenty of utter dross. Brum and blunts at home under or just after Shota. The 4-0 at Huddersfield when Taylor was off managing England u21s
Sunderland and it’s on a Sunday? I have a bad feeling about this one. Hopefully it’s not a proper hammering.
As a matter of interest ..Did anyone go to the Leeds v Sunderland FA Cup 4th or 5th round replay at BP in about 69...? .My late dad managed to bag a couple of tickets..Great atmosphere, probably best at BP I've witnessed, other than City v Stoke FA Cup Q/F or City v Man Utd Watney Cup.
Went there last Jan when we slaughtered them 1-0 Fabios first goal , ‘kin freezing Good night on the Toon followed to warm me up . It’s time we did them here , but it will be tough they are strong and organised even with O’nien !!
I did. I was in the East Stand with the Sunderland fans and I was wearing my City scarf. Leeds had the South Stand. It was a thunderous atmosphere, and yes, one of the best I'd experienced at Boothferry Park. The game had everything, particularly remember a Sunderland fan running onto the pitch from the Kempton and hitting the ref with his rucksack. The noise was deafening from all four stands, a proper football night, and one which I hoped I would see again at Boothferry Park when City finally reached the 1st Division. I also felt proud to wear my City scarf that night because the old ground looked magnificent. An atmosphere that came close to it was in March 1971 at Bramall Lane when we beat the Blades 2-1.
I did but thought it was a bit lacklustre until we'll into the second half. I was amazed by Billy Bremner's pace - his little legs were a blur. Also I remember the mini pitch invasion when a woman with a shopping bag ran on and had a go at Jack Charlton. Comedy gold.
I was crawling and honestly **** myself that day - more than once. Mind you I was 1 years old....wasn't at the game, just doing my own **** (literally) at home....
Yes I was there, and when I got home to Hessle the old man had picked up a female Sunderland supporter who had been stranded and rang her parents,
