He wasn’t there last season when they averaged 2,200 at away games last year though before Rooney arrived and they were in a relegation battle.

    Do we?
I mean I’m in favour of it, but given everyone in North stands anyway it won’t make any difference to atmosphere etc.

It is more congenial stood up with a rail at the height of the bar in the pub in front of you than wobbling about stood up with a seat at knee high in front of you. And safer. Much investigation has established the height of the bar in my local is ideal for safe standing rails as I can spend far longer than 90 minutes leaning on that.

Definitely true. But also true I think that it won't hugely affect atmosphere as Den said.

The atmosphere will only improve if more people start opening their mouths. And not just in the North Stand. 700 or 800, and credit to them, often sound louder at away games than 20,000 in the MKM. Thing is in MKM the ones singing will be spread out with stewards glaring at anyone showing a bit of exuberance.

Less an atmosphere aspect but more a logical one. It is far safer

True, to some extent at least. But also if all the 50-year olds stopped giving up, standing in a grump and shifting their focus to the progress of their bets on the PL games whenever we concede a goal.

Don’t see any of that from the more mature fans around us to be honest
In fact it’s the youngsters checking their bets constantly in N3

I'm in N4 and it shocks me how miserable it gets at times. The noise just stops completely when we're losing and it's because people have just given up. They're turning to their mates and moaning about this pass or that player, and then moving on to bets or how Liverpool are doing. Admittedly I don't actually know people's ages, but a lot of them definitely aren't youngsters.

Nobody really bothers about seat rows/numbers at away games Geo,most people just sit where they fancy or with mates they're meeting etc.

If I were you I'd just buy them:emoticon-0148-yes:

Only if there’s lots of empty seats, for sold out games, you either go to your seat or spend the afternoon arguing about who should be where.

My apologies and point taken in this case.

I didn't realise there were only 16 left(just looked at the seating map):emoticon-0148-yes:

Hopefully they'll release more because the seats left will obviously put people off buying if they're not travelling alone.

They allocate 2700, is that the allocation we took? Was hoping to get one nearer the time, looks like a no hope.
