Why does the truth only comes out when people get rattled?

None of us know the goings on in the murky world of football. so much of what we hear has been sanitised for public consumption.

I loved it when Lambarse got rattled and revealed that sicknote ( after he had slagged Newcastle off by claiming he's rather kick his heels for Manure on a pay per game basis than play at Newcastle in an average team)had been offered a whopping £130,000 pw 1year extension to his contract .

Again, even though it's Joey spouting off ( at a very inopportune time this week) , it's fascinating to hear about Hughton/jail without wages/ reduced contract offer etc. Yes I know he's a gob sh*te but how else would we ever get to know these titbits? Or Barton trousering £1.5m from QPR on a FREE!!

Same goes for the Andy Carroll transfer. Nolan's agent acted for Liverpool!!!!!!!! This meaty morsel only came out in the subsequent court case.

Do you think we'll ever be told as fans who exactly got what from the £6m fees paid to "agents" ? Or is that just stuff we shouldn't be told?

 

Quite frankly it's none of our business. Our owner will run the club as he see's fit.
I'm sick of looking back now, just enjoy the good times while it lasts.

The finer details of business contracts have nothing to do with us as fans really.

As you say, it's good to actually get some details at times but generally i'm not that fascinated by how much players/agents get as it sickens me! ...

 

For as long as Newcastle isn't a listed company I don't believe anything that isn't a fact printed on the official website, positive or negative. Its just easier that way. Frankly I couldn't care less anyway.

Agree about the good times but as a fan were you not bewildered by the Hughton sacking? It's taken so long for a very plausible explanation to emerge.

 

A lot of the £6.3 million will have been to Ba and Marveaux's agents, you get a much bigger signing on fee when you're unattached.

Yeah definitely, but I doubt we'll ever know the truth. I just want to
look forward to this season as it's the best one we've had in the last 10 years (so Far).

 

Does any of this really matter? We're playing well, good team on the pitch with a strongish bench. Everyone is pulling in the right direction.

Let's leave all this little niggly bits and just enjoy the football side of it. Football has become too much of a soap recently.

The truth is that us the die hard fans ,, who support our team through thick and thin are always **** on by these over paid gold diggers.

Just look at it when Hall & sheppard two of our own slagged us off.. Its a Loose loose... for us.
