Looking back on that, I can see how it may have become slightly irksome for some people now and again

Nah I found it entertaining for the most part. You both had your win days and both took some L's.
Though I will say you took your Ls far more gracefully than HIAG did, he would either go crazy and start acting all non sequitur or lose his **** and threaten legal action. was bizarre.....I do miss him, or I should say, this forum missed him.

 

Yeah he is much missed tbh. One of the big characters of this place.

It made me laugh seeing Duggie threaten Welshie for defamation the other day, because I used to get threats of legal action all of the time for rinsing HIAG

 

I use Youtube to watch those people that think they can fly like a bird...no not hurricane chasers, the ones that wear the bat suits...just google the name quickly,,,,Wingsuits.....or people that just skydive for the thrill of it....love that stuff, would love to do all that stuff, but you'd have to fight me to get me anywhere near one of those paper plans that they drop you out of...maybe in another life.

These guys aint right in the head but have my full admiration...

 

I've done a skydive from 10,000ft it was mental. But that wingsuit stuff is on a whole other level.

 

That wingsuit stuff, you only have to make one simple mistake and you are dead. Especially that type of drop, the speed they are going he only needs to clip the end of a rock and it's all over, you will just get mashed. Hence why the guy is so anxious, even if brave, because he knows how costly it can be. For me that has to be the number one sport for dares, you need a big pair of balls to do it. Skydiving itself is just fun in comparison.

Jumping out of a plane to give youself a thrill isn't brave, it's far too self-absorbed. doing it a few hundred miles into enemy territory with the pride of the German infantry shooting at you, that's brave.

Yeah agree, I meant jumping with wingsuit off a mountain face/edge. I think it's one death in every 500 jumps for wingsuits, skydiving is one death for every 100,000 jumps, hence why I said it was fun in comparison.
