Coffee, toast and bacon in the morning grilled food on the bbq - meat, fish and veg a nice red and a wee dram to wash it all down, maybe after a cold beer or 2.
Same for me with the chilli. But I love the salt ans chilli chips from the Chinese takeaway . The combination of of the really savoury salt and the heat of the chilli. Delicious.
I dry most of my chillis and they last me the year. Sprinkles. Sometimes I smoke them too. But a fresh chill, wow. Had a 1/4 scotch bonnet tonight in a chicken dish. Stunning flavour.
Yeah, I could have a bit of sriracha sauce on a chippy tea tbh, I just like a bit of heat. Sticky toffee pudding isn't bad either btw (no chillis though )
Mint. Fresh mint out the garden, or a bit of kendal mint cake. And everything in between. Not spearmint though. Spearmint is ****ing minging
Toast on a morning with butter and a lovely marmalade and a coffee. Can't do spices very well stomach issues. Lamb & mint sauce love it. Love a lovely red wine and I'm very much into my malt whisky. Love a sherry cask malt Benriach 12 Balblair 12 Mccallan sherry cask amongst many others but they are my favourites. Can't do peated whisky at all.
The one thing I would give to taste again would be my mam's spice or christmas cake to the unitiated. She made it every year, where she would soak the fruit in brandy overnight then cook it the next day. It wasn't just the taste but the smell you would look forward to.
Like chilli, but not in massive amounts. Gochugang is a favourite in our house, use it in a lot of meals.
Chilli for me as well. I probably eat too much of it tbh, the Mrs says I'm nuts. Chilli sprinkles goes on allsorts, but especially like it on pasta dishes like bolognaise or carbonara. Chilli sprinkles, relish, jam, sauce all good, but nothing compares to the taste of fresh chillies. I've never grown any, wouldn't know where to start tbh. This little tube of Carolina Reaper powder is the hottest one I've had, unbelievably hot. I like this Mr Vikkis stuff, though prefer the Queen Naga to the King Naga.
Pretty much everything I make has chilli, gochugang and garlic in. Love it mixed up with rice, noodles, peppers and bean sprouts. My stomach screams at me to stop occasionally.
Lots liking the chilli/heat vibe. These are canny for sauces/dips etc..only based at Penrith. https://www.mrvikkis.co.uk/
It is, been getting for years now. First came across it in Keswick market maybe 12 or 13 years ago. Discount code here if anyone wants to order any.
I had lamb up at Hesketh Newmarket, but when it came it put me off, looked like one of those shrunken heads
