National Highways have finally announced the end of the repairs to the Ouse Bridge, the speed restriction will be gone by the end of this month.

My biggest gripe is the East path of the Humber Bridge has been closed for about 8 years now . I’ve brought people to walk across with a much poorer view on the west path . Apparently it’s for safety and access for maintenance etc . It wasn’t needed for 30 plus years . To be honest when you call and ask about it the answers are pretty vague so the ones I’ve given is all I could glean from the calls .
Didn’t realise that In my head I thought they swapped them over so they could work on one side at a time, but that’s a bit **** if that’s the case
Now just the rest of the 40mph zone that goes on forever between there and the Humber bridge to go. Honestly feels like that's been going forever with minimal improvement.
They originally shut both sides in 2019, after there were six suicides in a month, they now plan to extend the fences to prevent suicides and presumably it will reopen after the works are done.
Pal of mine jumped from the bridge. City fan called Dave. Such great company and a really nice guy. Never been found.
