Talking to a Leeds fan earlier. He said draw was right result. He thought we were really tough, well organised and hard to play against. He is gutted for their keeper, reckons he is class. He picked out Jobe as the main man in our side, he just said you can see who his older brother is, looks a clone.

The precise moment O'Nien officially became a Sunderland legend and there's no denying it <laugh>

Yeah, I know it's a coach instruction. Just don't think it's a good one as he definitely isn't suited to it.

What it does show is the trust Regis must have in Neil. Difficult ask to rotate through those two positions. Tactical discipline and awareness key. Maybe Neil feels a bit shackled by it this season, but think last 2 games we have seen more of the forward passing inventive Neil. His game hasnt gone, it is coming back for me. But if he has to continue to do the job for the better of the team he seems the type willing to do it.

You don't have to be a brilliant player to be a hero ...

... just look at Dick Malone, Joe Bolton, John Kaye, Ball and Bennett.

O'Nien puts himself on the line in every game, we've had 'heroes' who wouldn't risk a light graze for Sunderland. Look at at Marco, Gray, SKP, Bent, Don Goodman, etc who can barely bring themselves to praise the club now.

when i first saw that clip i thought 'has to be onien' but could not see him in with the rest of the players...only to realise it took him ages to surface again and claw his way back to the pitch.

Still absolutely buzzing from that yesterday. Yes it was a flukey draw at home but I don't give a ****. Moments like that are what makes football the best sport in the world. There simply isn't a sport that can turn on a sixpence like that. Brilliant

I think you are right. I love nothing more than goals from the coaching ground, or from a complete freedom of players. The old Brazilian 82 team a case in point of players. But when something so completely bizarre, happens it is mental. When it happens so late, is mental and sweet.

Surprised the Ref didn't find some of this exuberance an excuse to dish out a few yellow cards for the players he'd missed during the match<laugh>

Luke diving in like that, I thought some lasses were giving it out freely, in my younger days I would have been there where the meat was, and dipping my bread in, It's all been said now. l Loved it will be a cherished memory now, and picture placed in the Sunderland tunnel to the pitch to show the passion, never been this hot for the next match since Quinn and Phillips and[ the boot de Gerrin]Golden boot

I've kind of overlooked it in all the excitement but yeah Watson has looked very good. Fast, strong, direct, aggressive, confident. Seems to have taken the step up entirely in his stride Rigg style.

Big lad too isn't he, don't get many tall wingers but it certainly doesn't affect his mobility he's rapid.

Ran out this summer fortunately. Or at least that's what's been reported.

Would be gutting to see him leave for a cut price when he's one of our better and potentially more valuable players.

    Injuries aside.

Edit: sorry for continuing the echo in here.
