He's brought in good staff with him, which he did at Derby as well Def impressed me tho, I was a doubter for sure
That's true but, for a recent PL team, they've not been too impressive ... ... their fixtures haven't been too harsh, they're away at Leeds and Boro next. In fact, 4 of their next 5 are away followed by the Sheffield derby. I doubt they'd come through those without a few defeats.
I don't think he's clueless but was bang average at DC Utd, but their recruitment was iffy around that time. I think a lot of depends on what players he gets as always.
@AlfieHouseEcho Russell Martin says Ross Stewart has a muscle injury and it will need a scan. No more specifics but he's "gutted" for him, so it's a concern. Hope its not too serious
Not being rotten but I'm pleased we're no longer paying his wages to sit at home with his computer games ... ... we've done that quite enough in the last couple of years tbh.
Everton are f*cking dreadful mind they’re just on borrowed time. This kind of football in 2024 in the PL is criminal I’d hate to have to pay to watch it every week
I agree. He’s worth a fortune and will be earning f*ck all at Plymouth, he’s there for footballing reasons and nout more. He done a decent job at Derby, look where they ended up the season after he went.
They're like a L1 side playing in the FA Cup 3rd round every week ... ... backs to the wall, frantic defending and frantic attacks. And ridiculously arrogant supporters believing they're better than they are.
He is quite determined to play an attractivr style of play. It will take time for some playera to get it, but he is patient. I remember at Derby how he was with individual players, really attentive to the small details with them and always took the pressure om himself and away from them. They wont challenge top 6 as they dont have the players but if he has them lower mid table and comfortably safe it will be a really solid job.
Newcastle looking like they need an Everton mistake to win the game ... ... 'painted egg face' coming on now.
