At least Ali injury is during international break. Gives him a couple weeks to get recovered if it’s not a serious one.
If we killed the game and not let palace have a sniff. Allison wouldn’t have been over worked in the second half. Score the 2nd palaces heads drop.
.....and breathe. Not too sure what to make of that game. Should've killed it in 60, lucky to hold on in 90. Before the game though I'd have happily taken a scrappy win so, Ali's injury aside, I'm reasonably satisfied.
9/10 wins going into 2nd international break top of the table. 6/7 in the prem 2/2 in the CL 1/1 in the LC Easier fixture list than others but done what we can to put pressure on.
You always felt when we took the lead under Klopp the longer the game went on that we'd likely catch the opposition on the break and score again. I'm still getting used to this more structured approach to managing the games out, we definitely seem to commit less forward 70 mins onwards which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it does feel like we let games drift.
that secon d half was almost as bad as feel. and if tipping someone in mid air isn't danerous play i don't know what is
He's the Spursgate ref, nuff said. Scrappy win in the end but I will take that. Palace offered nothing except blocks and dangerous play. Maybe it's just me but Palace didn't look they wanted to win, very lacklustre. All their effort went into trying to thwart us. With a bit of luck Alisson's injury isn't too bad. Top of the league
admittedly i feel so crap i was lying on the sofa and my head and eyes both are giving me grief but it looked like they had a number of good chances
Nicely done by Jota for the goal, but otherwise his clinicism seems to have left him today. Couple of good saves from Allison, hope he's not out for long.
Also felt in those games last few years we’d do something silly and give away a goal and drop 2 points. 2 goals conceded this season.
