Yeah this squad is much deeper than we had (other than striker), and players have been signed for bigger fees. I'd say we don't have the star power of a Carvalho topping it off though.

I think this squad looks great. Just a case of finding which jigsaw pieces fit in which position.

Think it’s time to leave the Facebook group. The amount of abuse Hughes is getting on Facebook and Twitter is horrendous. Keyboard warrior fans are odious little creatures.

So glad I left that **** group. He wasn't any worse than Macca. The lads debut after appendix surgery. He's nit exactly gonna be top form. Fans forum is a cesspit

If Walter won Bundesliga 2 he’d be a Bundesliga 1 manager which is better than the Championship so wouldn’t have come here to begin with. Your reasoning if flawed. Hürzeler won the league with St. Pauli and went to Brighton. He wouldn’t have gone to a Championship club for ****’s sake.

My point is he had 3 chances to do it! Failed all 3 times. Even McCann won his league equivalent

I’m sorry but that defeat is on Walter today. You cannot leave yourself so open at Norwich - I cannot even work out if we have a defensive shape??

Why are we being opened up by one ball over the top?

Why did it only take a couple of passes and Norwich were in every time?

Why are players trying to nick in to get the ball every time. If they don’t win the ball we are exposed.

There is a middle ground were we play as an attacking team but need a defensive shape as soon as we lose it. We’re left with too many players in advance of the ball as soon as lose it.

That wasn’t heart attack football, that was suicide football.

It'll be the same ones shouting for him to start instead of Macca in most cases.

We've constantly been open to it, even in the games we won.

That's why folk have been expressing concerns because it's been there for all to see.

In a nutshell.... we lost 4-0.... there have been times we've been beaten 4-0 and not laid a glove on the opposition and we've all called them for it. That wasn't today. Whilst the players are learning TW's system, TW is learning this league. We'll beat Sunderland and then top Burnley (only 5 goals in their last 7 games)...

We wouldn't have been unlucky if they'd scored 6.

Although we all said that we might get away with it against some teams. Norwich away was never going to be one of them.

That's all well and good if your ambition is lower mid table.

So Norwich manager what was your plan ?
‘Well they only seem to attack down the wings and they are small and immobile in the middle . So when they have the ball we double up on their wingers . When we have ball we 5 a side pass through the middle , hassle them and get it wide as their backs are about at the half way line ‘
Just like Rosie at Ipswich last year ,
    - he learnt but went the other way , what will Tim do ?

Im not really a fan of all the Macca bashing. Statistically, he and Jones have been as poor as each other, however, I think his effort to improve has been more obvious. Against QPR there was a City corner after which Macca sprinted back to his own half but Jones didn’t arrive back until over 10 seconds later. In that same game Jones failed to make a single tackle compared to Macca’s three. Macca’s not the tidiest looking player, but he gets a lot more grief than I think is appropriate considering Jones hasn’t done much better.
