Hull goal disallowed for handball (potentially a controversial one) and a certain red card for the Hull defender saved by a late and tight offside call. Then a decent goal but profiting from abysmal Hull defending again.
Second half of Burnley v Preston has been absolutely horrific Burnley not playing well at all but they hardly concede and won’t lose many games at all. Still fancy them for promotion.
Alisson just went off injured. Liverpool have some huge fixtures after the international break so they need him back for them
Next 10 games are against Chelsea, Leipzig, Arsenal, Brighton x2, Leverkusen, Villa, Southampton, Real Madrid and Man City. What the **** Then the two after are Mags away and Everton away. Crazy
He’s done really well to recover from the disappointment of being turfed out by the lads. That sort of impact on a career can finish a player. In another world (probably one without Madrox) he makes an impact in league one at Sunderland and has a career a bit higher in the league. I always thought he had the talent for it.
Burnley 0-0 We are still top. - for now. WBA and Sheff Utd could go level / above us depending on goal difference.
Sheff Utd would need to win by 4 and WBA by 5 to go above us. Should remain top going into the international break but you never know
Continue to feel that there’s no standout in this league. There’s better squads and better XIs than us (although not by much) but they’re hampered by very mid coaching. It’s gonna be about luck and hot streaks.
Sky kept saying Parker just needs time to gel his new squad, well that’s 9 games and they look worse than when they played at our place. Very ordinary against a well organised Preston team
Going to watch Sheff Utd v Luton so will report back. Interesting to see Hamer on the bench, probably a card thing otherwise it makes no sense.
They’re still only a point behind us and have conceded 4 in 9 games. That’s very good at any level, they’ll be right up there come May. Won’t lose many games at all.
