The joke is that you don’t get it. Have a look on social media, have a look at information supplied by so called “managers” and “top brass”, it’s embarrassing, if we can’t get these simple things right, what ****ing chance do we have of getting business decisions right???? Have you spoken to a careers advisor in school lately. Do you know what the top “dream job” of schoolies is these days? Shall I enlighten you? Trainee drug dealers. No vocab skills required. Foreigners can get it right, and we can’t?? Think you need to buy a mirror and take a good look in it.
I will make my conclusion about Walter's future after Burnley game, as I always mentioned. Let's wait Norwich, Sunderland, Burnley trio. This thread may be on fire or will be silent until end of season.
Every day is a school day, I thought the latter was a van. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Still way too soon imo. He's already shown he's not the clueless way out of his depth chancer some had already ridiculously concluded. He still hasn't got a handful of players available yet (Hughes, Puerta, Alzate, Pedro ... and err Sinik ) and several, along with himself and his coaching team, are only just starting to find their feet here with us. Imo he also needs the January window in order to get nearer to what he needs to complete the jigsaw in terms of his squad, meaning he's still having to make do with 2 or 3 that don't really fit to how he wants us to play. To be more accurate or sensible, it's not just about judging Walter, it's judging the whole coaching & recruitment team. The job they have done since June is pretty incredible i.e. a massive overhaul with 21 (or is it 23?) out, 17 in with a far far more balanced squad than we've seen for a long time, and on top of that a new coaching team bar Daws. It's pretty remarkable. Not getting too carried away after our 3 wins, but there's enough evidence to show we're going in a good direction. Of course they'll be enough disappointments to come, not least as the re-building is still in it's relative infancy and is continuing, and those disappointments may well include results in these next 3 games. It will imo still be far too early to judge. Have patience and faith.
If I'm honest, apart from this forum, I'm not on social media. Every time I find myself thinking about what my childhood friends had for dinner or what Oprah Winfrey thinks about Donald Trump, I go and either lift weights, work in the garden or have sex with my girlfriend and then the curiosity has evaporated. Business is doing well, children don't all want to be trainee drug dealers, life is good and getting better for the world in general and we all move forward. There's no point getting depressed or nihilistic - we're just apes clinging onto a rock flying through space. If things are ****, try and change them, otherwise enjoy the ride, because we all die in pain and alone at the end of it. Life is too short to police grammar and language, especially if you make mistakes yourself. Have a good weekend.
if we need another transfer window after bringing in 17 players I'd really question the use of club funds. I can't imagine we're far from a complete squad other than another striker.
You are right there, I endeavour to follow the Stoic outlook on life, I am 71 now still working as a psychiatric nurse, going to slow down eventually. I enjoy life, hate Trump ,try to spread compassion., I will do my best.Watch a comedian called Andy Huggins, good philosophy on life I went to the doctor and I said I thought I had arthritis, he said it was early onset rigamortis. Anyway as City continue to be part of our life, we endure the ups and downs ,but in saying that I hate with a passion Sheffield United! 1984 still hurts, I apply Stoic principles but still there ! Over in March, take care
We can near enough always question the use of club funds! None more so than the previous windows under Acun. However, what we are now seeing is near enough a complete rebuild. And it's being done without spunking silly money. It's plain daft to think 1 window would do it. When Rosenior was boss (and most anyone else) it was fine to say "it will take 2, 3, 4 windows", irrespective of double figure incomings. But now it's not ok to say we need a 2nd window to finish the (massive) rebuild? And all I'm talking about is 2 or 3 missing pieces needed this time. Imo, a very good foundation has been laid this window. It needs at least 1 additional quality CB that better suits Walters style, the LB problem sorting (ironically the one position we spent big due to an earlier commitment) and ideally a 'top' CF (although the 3 we've got might just surprise a few on here in due course). And the other thing we need is a bit of patience.
