    Match Preview;
    This is our first meeting against Derby since April 2022 due to their relegation in 2022. They finished 7th in their first season in League One, and then won promotion last season with a 2nd place finish. Their top scorer last year was James Collins, with 19 goals in all competitions...but he is yet to score in four games so far this season. They have lost five and won three so far this season, so sit in 13th place, with 9 points. They have lost their last three, and haven't won since beating Cardiff 1-0 on September 14th.

    As for us, last night looked so promising until they scored...which has been so typical of this season so far. As soon as they scored, it looked like the game was gone. With one win in eight games, we sit two places and two points outside the relegation zone. Not promising. As has been discussed on other threads, Celar just hasn't clicked yet, and in a full 45 minutes last night really didn't offer much at all. Others can, and I hope you will, say below if you agree or disagree with me, but I feel either Frey or Celar upfront with others in support doesn't work. Those who should be pushing forward end up being pinned back and spend too much time just in front of the back four, and we invite pressure. Playing two up front would surely put us on the front foot, and give us more options when the ball gets into the opposition's final third.

    Team news and manager comments to go up when on the official, enjoy if you are making the trip, and as always...

    ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

    Despite the above stats, I feel that in recent years we do well against Derby. Here's hoping!

    It is only that the sheer euphoria of 2014 still hasn't worn off. Quite sad really. I almost added a video of Bobby's winner, but stopped myself as it was over ten years ago. Sad we don't have much to cheer about since then.

    Another one to remember...... FA Cup tie in 1970 at HQ.... we were 2nd division and they 1st division.....played on a mud heap and Dave Mackay kicked Rodney black and blue..... still we had the last laugh as Mackay scored an own goal for our 1-0 win......

    Wasn't Rooney playing for Derby when he sent a cross field pass in our defensive half straight to Eze who ran through the whole park and laid it off for us to score the winner?

    Also there was a lovely 4-2 from 2-0 down in that weird period where Jim Magilton had us playing like Brazil. On BBC for some reason with Savage playing for them.

    Who was there at Pride Park for that moment of historical importance when Macauley Bonne scored a goal for us before his rapid descent through the Leagues.

    That was some performance, a similar result is badly needed...

    Kevin Lisbie I had to check played for us but will go down in history as a stalwart for both us and Derby.

    Some notable players who in my head played for Derby and certainly feel Derby but turns out never did: Leon Clarke, Peter Ramage, Tony Thorpe, Steven Caulker, Jerome Thomas.
