Appreciate this is my first post and I am already on the scrounge. Myself, wife and family have sat in the South stand since the stadium opened and before that in South stand seats at Boothferry Park. I have previously registered on this forum but my log in wasn’t recognised, possibly due to an old work email that no longer exists?

We have generally parked in Walton Street car park, however over the last 7 to 8 months my wife has been struggling with her knee and now finds the walk from the car park too much for her. Last season we were able on a few occasions to access the car park at the rear of the South stand which meant she could easily manage the short walk to the stand.

I have been in touch with the club but as she is not at the stage of been eligible for a disability badge they are not able to help us with access to the South stand car park.

I am therefore turning to the forum for possible help. If there is anyone who has a pass for the South stand car park that they don’t need and could let us use, I would be so grateful. I would happily reimburse anyone who has a spare pass that we could use and enable my wife to attend matches again.
Many thanks in advance for anyone who has even bothered to read this far!!

I can't help with car parking but did you know that Acklams run a bus from Tickton via Beverley and Cottingham direct to the stadium. It waits on the South Stand car park until after the game. From Cottingham it travels down Bricknell Avenue and Chanterlands Avenue. I know this is no use if you don't live anywhere on the route but if you did it might help. Search for KC1 on their website.

Hull City Council Community Transport, based at Stockholm Road used to run a bus to City home games for those with disabilities or had difficulty walking and would drop you off as close to the South Stand turnstiles as was possible. I know this because I drove it for a short while. The pick up point was somewhere on Bransholme in those days. The cost was about £2.50 return. Perhaps give them a call to see if it still operating?

I have a disability blue badge and have been on the waiting list for a South Stand parking space for several years. Unfortunately it’s like waiting for dead men’s shoes.
Acklam’s coach as someone suggested is a good choice and cheap.
