I've got a mate bringing his lad to the Leeds match on Friday, he's been an exile for 20+ years and brought his 12 year old son for his first game last season. I want to take them through early so they can see the players coming in but no idea what time they will start arriving for an evening game, can anyone suggest the best time to turn up please?
For the Derby match, which was a 1945 KO, they tweeted the arrival video at 1805. It won't be too much of a difference for a 2000hrs KO so I'd guess they will arrive approx 1745? https://x.com/SunderlandAFC/status/1841162585472700538?t=3PnsHl4zaf3T7X352pqc4Q&s=19
Thanks mate really appreciate it, I was thinking around then but hadn't seen the video from Tuesday, wasn't showing in my feed for some reason.
No worries, I'd roughly guess it's KO time minus 2hrs for the players to be in. Give your mate some time to get in position at the entrance and 1745 should be OK. Will be a decent crowd tho. No school for the kids on Sat so might be busy round there for autographs.
The club hardly use the #safc tag these days for some reason. - if you have an X account, follow the club account and enable notifications I hope you all have a great night watching the lads
Thanks everyone, going to aim for 5.30 to give him a chance to grab an autograph or two. His first game was a 3-1 to the lads so hoping for a similar result!
For autographs and stuff I’ve found it’s normally better after the game. A lot of players head straight in before the game for preparations. Just incase the lad ends up disappointed
It can sometimes be a little wait after mind but definitely more chance of more players stopping for pictures etc
Thanks for the Advice, got there for 5.45 and Joe managed to get photos with loads of players and le Bris as a bonus, we really have a fantastic group of players, all happy to chat and make time for the kids. He was buzzing after the game, great result and what a way to snatch an equaliser!
