Strange people, those from Pompey. I was unfortunate enough to have one in the next bed to me on three occasions during my days in the army. Apart from their arrogance (they were responsible for keeping the Royal Navy afloat - and manned - you know) they had a strange trait in common. Although they all had different forenames, they all insisted on being called Bob. Weird!
I don’t believe for a second we’ll be promoted but the odds for us to go up are 7/1. Portsmouth are 9/1 FFS. That might just be the worst value I’ve ever seen.
Their records are very similar and both clubs have been champions of all four English leagues as well winning the FA cup a couple of times. Surprised me that Portsmouth had such a good record to be honest.
I know. I was referring to Preston and Portsmouth. Our record is much better than both but they were serious rivals to us in the past.
They might just have a brilliant young head coach. I dont see it, but he looks to have something very good about him.
I'm sure they won the FA Cup back in 2008 if memory serves, back when they we're signing players they couldn't afford. Remember when that prince said he was going to buy them, build them a new stadium and sign C.Ronaldo, then didn't? funny that.
