Liverpool face Bologna in their first home Champions League match of the season on Wednesday 2nd October, 8pm at Anfield. Match available to watch on TNT Sports.

The teams have never previously met. Bologna are Liverpool's 10th different Italian opponent in European competitions.

I reckon we might make another change or two.

This is a home banker with jones and nunez in.

 

Szobo needs a rest. Jones in the 10 or possibly play chiesa / Jota there.

 

Hope we don't make a meal of it.

We are going to smash them. I think Slot is going to rotate because of the early kick off on Saturday.

 

If we're not too bothered about finishing top 8 then it's probably worth the risk of resting one of two here.

Strong team again. Jota being rotated due after concerns about foot injury so should be good for weekend by looks of it.

Diaz starts today, surprised thought gakpo get another game. Assume gakpo and Jota start at weekend in that case.

Thought szobo could maybe do with a rest and maybe get Jones in there but hopefully if get a decent lead by 60 mins can rest and rotate a few key players.

i thought Jones would replace of Szob or Gravenbrerch

 

mixed feelings here - strong team should mean a positive result but the players will be burnt out by end of October without proper rotation, especially the older boys.

 

Same. Was hoping Diaz would be saved for Palace but meh.

 

There is going to be changes if we're winning comfortably.
