So United have successful appealed against Bruno’s red and won’t face any ban Now we need to find a way to see if we can have some sort of review maybe using video during the game to correct those errors. Maybe get a team of officials in another room and can quickly review and speak to the ref using technology to get them to correct their wrong decisions.
I did think it looked a bit harsh given there was no studs and no force in it. Still laughed hearing it happen while I was out in the car. The general best way to look at these for me is to think would I want one of ours sent off for that and if the answer is no then you just stick to laughing at thier misfortune
Salzburg dicked again jn the Cl. This time at home to Brest. 3-0 and Bajcetic came on in 77th min at 3-0 down.
Pep won't last very long with these results. They have 2 games in hand at home in their league and need to get back to the top of that table They like a bit of cl money and assume that league title is theirs
It was 4-0 by then (24, 66, 70, 75). Clark started and was subbed in the 61st at 1-0. Salzburg seem to have fallen apart between then. Konate played the whole game up front.
I think if we are going off the Aquilani Scale this was a nailed on red with a 6 month ban In my head it has never seen a red but Maddison’s reaction was a massive contributory factor imho I would have liked to have seen a retrospective 12 month ban issued to him for being a wuss
Is the new CL format a slow burner with all the excitement coming in the latter stages? Some of the results indicating that some of the teams are maybe out of their depth.
Depends what you mean by excitement? Would you say the same about the first 20 weeks of the prem? No real excitement comes until the final 5-10 games when relegation and winners start getting decided. In theory be same for new CL format as most teams will still have a chance of playoffs/top 8 going into final 2/3 games.
Very much so; I reckon you could get away with resting the senior squad for most of the games, a few results, and you're through. It depends on whether you want to go through in the top 8 or are happy with an additional playoff game. There doesn't seem to be the same level of excitement or danger with this new format as with the mini-league. I think it favours the big teams, less chance of a shock. It's all a bit meh
That's how I feel. I haven't watched any games other than ours and I won't. Just going by some of the results and match reports. If this is their answer to the super league, it's the exact opposite.
