Good solid win and the table is looking just beautiful. Glad Dan Neil wasn't hung out to dry for a mistake. Would really like a big result in the next one.
Routine win, glad Isidor has got off to a flyer he looks like he’s exactly what we’ve been missing proper striker instincts, great movement in the box. As mentioned by others quality in other parts of the pitch getting us over the line but this season midfield seems to be struggling a bit, we’ve got the players to rotate in the middle so let’s see what happens.
You'd have to send for a match programme tbh ... ... what a keepsake for a lad who's already a Sunderland supporter without even knowing it
I'll get you a beer mate for sorting my Plymouth ticket out, let me know where ya having a pre match pint.
Thought our midfield started poorly but grew into the game I’d definitely start Browne on Friday night with Rigg dropping out
Just back, good solid professional performance, well organised and looked like we could go through the gears at anytime. Didn’t see what happened to Poveda so hope it’s not serious but it give me a glance at what young Watson can bring and I think we have a star of the future on our hands, he glides across the grass! Cold, wet & happy, goodnight all
Chuffed for the win and top of the table, disappointed Poveda looks like a hamstring, hope he won't be a sick note for us. Impressed with Tommy, we need to be extending the amount of mins per game, looks an exciting player. Mundel man of the match for me all the excitement came through him, well happy with Jobes goal lovely piece of skill and Wilson 2 in 2 long may it continue, big mention to Patto well done son well controlled double save was lovely.
Cheers Smithy, I get into Sunderland at 17.45 so plenty of time for a pint ... ... Watford, last season, was the last time I saw you face to face. It'll either be the Fire Station or Museum depending on the lads.
Thought the game was poor because of the opposition. I’ve seen a few say we were bad I don’t think so personally. Think it was the way Derby made the game go. Thought Dan Neil responded brilliantly and bar the odd give away was much better tonight. Cirkin started slow but thought our back 4 were once again great. jobe had a slow start but that goal triggered something in him because my god he covered every blade of grass. Roberts was quiet but also kind of feel the game didn’t suit him much with Derby having everyone behind the ball. Isidor looks a serious forward and Alan browne is such a calm player on to Leeds before another break. Going into the next international break still top would be fantastic
Some of our fans near couldn’t wait to jump on a Neil error instead of supporting the lad. Take the three points and we move on, feel we need to improve with the ball and try move it quicker against a low block
For me you have to watch jobes work rate ,he is every where on the pitch . But too tell the truth it is great to see our team all working hard to win and I think they can see what the club can do for them . But more importantly believing we are the best place for them and also loving the club. It is the first time for a long long time that players want to play as hard as they can for the club and aren’t just there for the payday. We were worried about Clarke going but the club had a plan to replace him and what a success . Players like Watson can now get chances in the first team during games we are ahead and further develop . Quietly confident
