So , when we kept conceding from set pieces under Warburton, he was rightly mullered for it. He refused to get a defensive coach in and we and him both paid the price. How many set piece (particularly corners) have we conceded directly or indirectly from under El Cif now ? It's a ****ing liberty, I thought he might actually have turned it round after letting in goals from corners in about 6 straight games last season, but **** me he's learnt nothing. If we have a set piece coach, then he needs sacking immediately . If we don't have one, then why the **** not ? It's way past a laughing matter now, and the manager has to take the blame for it, end of. You cant win games when you continually hand the other side gifts every time they win a corner. He may well have just signed a new deal, but if he doesn't sort this out immediately, then it will be as a league 1 manager next season. Utterly pathetic
Not even close to the standard we need to be playing at, left wondering, like last year, are they good players playing badly or just bang average players?
2 points from twelve from our home games is nowhere near good enough, the real troubling thing is we have played three **** teams as well
I live in Derby and I’m not going, but that’s cause I don’t have a ticket or any means of getting one
Disappointing - we looked good initially but 20 odd shots and no goals from open play is an unacceptable return.
I fear the answer is the latter. In reality it was Chair and a rejuvenated Willock who sent us on that run at the end of last season. Without either of them being on the park for us up to tonight, you can see how influential they were on us staying up !
One win in eight games. Good timing for Cifuentes to sign his new contract of secret ‘long term’ duration.
Common denominator is that Plymouth, Millwall and Hull all scored with beating strikes from the ball bouncing off one of our lads, we don't seem to get them breaks.....
Thought the squad he put together this year would be much better. Especially after the results at the end of last season. Still looks like we need a striker who can score. The defending is poor. Could be in the bottom three before this weekend. Should we have kept Dykes, might not score much but held the ball up well?
Or just maybe other teams defenders are quicker out to the shooting player or are just better positioned to begin with ?
That was because we left gaps chasing the game...... we were the better side for most of the first hour..... a beating strike which 8 times out of 10 goes into the crowd and piss poor by Anderson losing the ball in área and we're 2 down.....
Formations only count for so much but this insistence on only playing one up top is starting to look a bit like madness. Frey was and usually is isolated and presses on his own, wasting energy when you can see that nobody else is pressing with him. When Celar comes on, it's usually a straight swap and the exact same happens. Anderson and Madsen either haven't settled in yet or just aren't good enough, I'm hoping it's the former. I didn't see the Luton game but I can honestly say, I haven't seen a good performance yet. Granted we had 20 odd shots but we might has well have had 1 shot cos that's all we ****ing scored.
Due a big change of luck, I reckon it will be at Derby! Chair and Dembele starting will tear them apart!
