My Derby story relates to the 5-0 drubbing we gave them at their place. Before I met the missus, I had a Derby fan a couple of doors along from my old house who reckoned that they would destroy us at their place - never dropped talking about how they would do us when we played them. So the day came and me and some mates went down on a supporters bus. After some drinks and a brilliant result, we were dropped off on the A19 at Peterlee, I got in touch with my next door neighbour who was also a Sunderland fan. Long story short, we got pissed up, I had an old word processor from my polytechnic days and printed off a load of messages with the score to hang onto his washing line as well as his windows for him to wake up to the next morning! He didn't speak to us for a week!
Same team again tonight suits me, I expect a tight game with the spoils going our way over the 90 minutes, they do possess some threat but not as much as we do ,and 3 points will keep us bang on track. OaU
WELL I've just been delivered of my first Grandson 7.1 lbs - wine opening - what chance a 7 - 1 scoreline?
Can anyone remember the match away at Derby in the early 90's when loads of Sunderland fans were trying to get in to the baseball ground at about 5 to 3? There were some big double doors as I remember and everyone was complaining about missing the kick off and pushing against the doors. The coppers were ****ting themselves incase the doors got smashed in and shouted at the stewards to open them. We all piled in and saw the match for nowt
Fab as usual RTB. I really think we are a team of bounce straight back and take the last disappointment out on the next team . 3-0 for me .
Wish they wouldn't turn the lights off fully - keep thinking they won't come back up! Congrats to both @FellTop on his birthday and @Durham Ranger on the birth of his grandson - hope you've got his first Sunderland top bought already!
