Brilliant team performance and result, arguably should have deserved all three points.

I thought Morsy and Phillips in the middle were superb. Davis had his best game of the season. Delap took his two goals well. Felt like we were much more joined up in attack today. Can’t really fault anyone - maybe Ogbene was too quiet?

All in all, another well earned point and sets us up for a more forgiving run of fixtures.

A really enjoyable game, and I agree with Spanish on Omari. Ogbene sadly didnt offer much. Morsy lucky to stay on the pitch! Delap is a terrific signing, clearly enjoying himself.

I am proud of our Club, we have now arrived, learnt much and been playing catch up. We played our best football, especially 2nd half.

    Our future is bright.

Quite happy with that Bigal2, this is a team in the champions league, came back from 1 down v wolves and won 3 1.

If Villa had won today, they’d have gone joint top with Liverpool. A very good side - so the result and the performance was a hopeful indication that our first win of the season isn’t too far away.

We look like we’re close to fully clicking. I think our home form and possibly an intimidating Portman Road atmosphere - particularly in comparison to most Premier League grounds - will get us over the line. For me, today was undoubtedly our best performance of the season so far. That second half we essentially shut Villa out of the game and looked likelier to win the match.

Really enjoyable game. Davis and Clarke linked really well on the left, Phillips is getting better with every game. Right side worries me, not seen anything in Ogbene yet. Would rather see Hutchinson there (with Szmodics at 10) or play burns. Delap took his goals brilliantly and was a handful all afternoon. Playing well, just love to get the 1st win

Fantastic result. First point over and above expectations and we remain unbeaten since "our season started" (after the practice games against city and Liverpool)

A word for Omari. Much better game today and he held the ball up well under a lot of pressure. He was often involved moving forward, but his ground coverage was insane, not sure what the stats show, but he was always pressing.
He is one helluva fit player, just needs a goal!

Gaffer, sorry but can't agree on Omari, yes he ran a lot but that was it, he was poor again yesterday. Deffo not a 10, would much rather see Szmodics or even Chaplin there, far more intelligent than Hutchinson

I think you're being a bit harsh on Hutchinson there, Spanish. I don't think he had the best game yesterday - definitely guilty of not playing a pass quicker on several occasions. However, I thought he was one of the most impactful players on the ball for us. Kept making himself available and driving forwards. I think he was definitely one player who made the Villa defence nervous. He showed good composure to play in Delap for the second, playing the ball further forward to encourage the run. I'd give him a 7/10.

And he was often taking in 3 of their players who tried to stop him buzzing. But, he still needs to get that pass in quicker.

I also was pleased for Taylor, another of our champ players, who came on, surged forwards and almost scored a cracker.

Bet the mood in our camp is upbeat, full of confidence, unlike up at Manure!

But for two horrendous mistakes at the back yesterday Villa hardly created anything worthwhile, whereas we could have scored four or five goals with a combination of better finishing and a quality keeper playing against us.
Villa are a Champions League side and keep the ball very well but most of the time were going nowhere but Davis was getting in behind and causing them problems with crosses put into their box.
After half time McK had clearly geed them up and we were much the better side and Delap scored a deserved equaliser and the North Stand erupted, at this point I thought we really could win the game but it wasn't to be.
So a well deserved point against a good side with our team starting to look better with every match, and another thing I liked was Tuanzebe physically picking players up off the floor on to their feet after Greaves' horrendous error, it showed a bond of togetherness.

Tuanzebe has climbed mountains and has anchored his place. Gotta feel for Wolfy but that's footie at the top table.
I still like Harry Clarke's overlapping right side sprints, perhaps he might get a look in wen fit.

At the moment Ogbeni doesn't warrant a place in the starting line up his contribution is neglible which means he is being carried by rest of the team, Burns must start the next game and Ogbeni on the bench.

I quite like that we are mixing up the attacking line from one week to the next and in a way I hope we don’t settle on the same players every week. It’s going to be very hard for the opposition to nullify us if we are unpredictable.
