Just going back to the first Spurs goal....didn't a player do the same thing against them in their European match midweek? Ran 70 yards straight through half their team?
They need to sack Ten Hag. There's so many interesting coaches Man Utd could go for, the worst that could happen is they are as bad as they are now. Think they made some good appointments in the director roles so they need to trust them to change the manager.
Yep, I agree, I think the time is now Porto and Aston Villa both away from home next week, two tough games there. International break coming up, get him gone tonight and get a lift before a little break with Brentford at home to start for the new gaffer.
They still have no identity in or out of possession, he never seems to be able to change the game with his tactics or subs
Yep. I know Ange has his critics and some issues he needs to iron out but he's been at Spurs for just over a year now and you can see what they are trying to do. It's the 3rd season for ETH and I couldn't tell you their style of play.
Played really well imo. Really delighted as well to see it. He is a cracking player and more than good enough for the prem. On another note delighted to see Delap doing so well. Would have loved him here on loan at some point. I saw him up close com through the Derby youth setup and he was a standout talent. Looking like he is flourishing now. My prediction is he will be an England CF by the next world cup.
To be honest, Ten Hag seems to be taking them further and further away. Rumours that he'd fallen out with players and is difficult to get along with have been going round now for a while and he doesn't seem to able to manage egos or build up players lacking confidence. I really can't see him turning it round.
Until they sort themselves out behind the scenes it is an impossible job imo. He can set them up well and they can win the FA cup, but they dont have enough players with the mentality to go week in week out. They sign badly time and again. He plays hard ball with some players but it seems he has little backing from above to me. I know a couple of season ticket holders there who say the players are not in it together. Too many individuals. The writing was on the wall for him in the summer, when Ratcliffe came in, but Ratcliffe couldnt get his man so extended Ten Haag. He probably would have been better advised resigning and letting them get on with whatever they call a plan at that club.
I agree. Sack tonight or tomorrow. Caretaker in charge this week then the new gaffer in to work during the international break. Who could they get, realistically?
The people who have came in behind the scenes are good, Ashworth and Wilcox in particular. I trust them more than Ten Hag. I see plenty coaches across Europe doing a lot more with a lot less. He has definitely been backed mind, a lot of the players are his signings. Spent something like £600million since he came in. Alongside having his choice of coaching staff.
Literally just had a text off a season ticket holder at Man U. Said he will be gone this week because the players are running for him. If that is true then I really do hate some of these modern footballers. Where is the sense of professional pride. You dont have to run for the coach, you have to run for yourself, your teammates, the crowd, the badge. Even your bloody wages. The amount of power players have in the modern game is troubling. The head coach always takes the fall, never the players. Dan Neil made a balls up yesterday, but I can never imagine him being accused of not running for his coach. There are some who deserve a living in the game, there are others who do not.
I see Ekwah played another 90 minutes for St Etienne today. 2-2 draw away at Nantes. They remain in the relegation zone
