This just popped up on YouTube - a really nice video about Dancing Brave which shows all his races except the abortive trip to Santa Anita. It got me thinking about his Derby defeat and whether or not that actually added to his aura? Looking at his earlier races I don't like the exaggerated "looking behind" from Starkey (Eddery also did it in the King George) and despite those who defended Starkey's Epsom ride I think he got it wrong. Anyway it all came to a wonderful, perfect, glorious finale at Longchamp in the best Arc ever run. Enjoy the video.
Crikey, I forgot the time. Nearly halfway through that video Oddy but I'm going to stop there and watch it with my wife because Dancing Brave is by far her favourite horse of all time. The only problem will be that we had one of his granddaughters, lovely nature, and she gave us 2 beautiful foals before suffering a tragic accident in a storm leaving her daughter looking rather lost. It was devastating and this video will surely bring it all back
