A path of destruction that will simply lead to deeper ingrained hatred and mistrust for generations to come.

    Bravo Israel

    You are speculating and assuming.

You are also forgetting that Hamas itself emerged not from the embers of destruction and ruin, but as a protest against the most serious attempt at peace in living memory, at Oslo. Hamas' whole existence totally undermines your assumption.

Support for Hamas is rapidly collapsing across both Gaza and the WB as more and more people realise that their agenda is not one that can ever lead to peace, prosperity and statehood.

    Time will tell.

I think it’s a reasonable assumption to make that Israel’s actions are making it the No1 enemy state to the wider region and will lead to more ‘terrorist’ groups emerging

They might as well build a big ****ing wall around themselves and box themselves in for eternity, because it’s clear they have no intention of integrating with their neighbours

    Absolute nonsense.

Israel has full diplomatic relations with Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, UAE and Morocco. None of whom severed those ties as a result of the current conflict.

I don't mean to lecture, but the situation is far more nuanced that you seem to believe, as is public opinion about Israel across the middle east. The overwhelming majority of Sunni states very clearly see Iran as the region's #1 enemy state, not Israel.

Attacking Lebanon may change that in time

It’s clear that Israel is far past the point of ‘defending’ itself

    Again, you speculate.

But I do tend to agree on your second sentence. It passed that phase a while ago and in deciding to push ahead with a campaign against Hezbollah, is firmly in a phase that it hopes will realign the entire region, for better or for worse. Yes, there is always the risk of the latter. Time will tell if it comes to pass. I personally think we need Trump in the White House to prevent it. Harris won't have a clue how to handle this.

I also think it’s speculative to assume that Eqypt, Morocco and other states in the region will continue to back Israel’s actions.

Trump would be the worst scenario. As, along with supporting Putin, he would ‘put an end’ to any war by simply giving the aggressors, Russia and Israel exactly what they want. A terrible ‘solution’ for millions of people.

I disagree. Trump's ego will drive him to find a solution. He wants that Nobel Peace Prize.

Less cynically, I will add that unlike all of his predecessors, Trump understands that the solution to political chaos often isn't more politics, it's economics. His vision for a Palestinian state that prioritised prosperity over territory was the first set of fresh ideas in nearly two decades and were a major catalyst in the Abraham Accords (Iran obviously provided the other main catalyst).

I disagree. Trump will give Israel exactly what they want. He will do the same with Putin.

No **** can align the middle East.

Anyone from the middle east knows this

Israel, being in the middle east, know this. They know, for a fact, bombing Lebanon will not cause any issues amongst the elites of any other Arab nation because they talk to these Arab nations all the time, they know them.

Saudi Arabian citizens don't even have free press, the **** do they know.

There are minorities in these countries that low-key support Israel. There's just no freedom of speech, they're not allowed to admit it.

Ask the Christians in Syria what side they're on lol.

I was reflecting on this after watching 'Oppenheimer'.

We were handed the technology to have unlimited, clean energy forever and instead turned it into the most devastating destructive force imaginable.
