Definitely. Think we played with belief in the final 3rd and we made opportunities count.

I do think better sides will cause us more problems with the openness but we're starting to see some reward for the risk so fair play to Walter.

So what has happened to McLoughlin? Is Walterball outside his comfort zone?

Great to have followed up the Stoke win with a win at home. Takes some pressure off.
It was always going to take time, but my god there's a lot of work to be done and improvement needed (and that's from someone who has been backing Walter).
    Score line flattered us.
We still have 2 square pegs in round holes which is a bit ridiculous now. And selection decisions that seem hard to understand.
Let's see where we are after the next international break, allowing for the fact we face 2 very tough games, but at least for us then, injuries allowing, to hopefully be seeing our best starting X1 and hopefully far more cohesive play with players knowing what they should be doing.

    Great game and great result.

They were so poor though. Would not be shocked if they didn’t budge from 24th for the rest of the season.

Good win that. Good to get the first home win under Walter out the way and the last two games have taken the pressure off nicely.

Belloumi and Bedia looked a lot better today. Nice to see some good attacking play being rewarded with some goals. We still seem to be fairly wasteful on getting into the box, which seems strange to be saying with a 4-1 win.

That said, Cardiff cut through us far too often for a team at the bottom. We need to get a bit of a grip in midfield as better sides would have scored a few today. That remains a concern. There were two periods of about 15 minutes, one in each half, where we looked way of it. We could do with controlling games a bit more.

But all we can do is get the win and keep building. Enjoyable afternoon on the whole.

The 'ridiculous concerns' are still there defensively, but very few were seriously calling for his head after 5 games. And if we hadn't won out of Stoke, Cardiff and QPR then we would have been looking at a relegation scrap and a potential change.
The general feeling was that we needed to start getting results by the next international break. Which was absolutely true.

That's the ongoing concern, but if we create as many or more ourselves then at least we now look like we'll win as many as we lose.

Thought we could have given Burstow a bit of game time as Bedia tired, his pace could have caused them problems.
