I can't believe I'm saying this again, but we have another top of the table clash this coming Saturday! Barrow travel to us as we welcome Stephen Clemence back to Priestfield - amazing past and present managers riding high in L2. Clemence doing a fantastic job at Barrow and even awarded with a trip to Stamford Bridge tomorrow (Tuesday) as his team take on Chelsea in the League Cup in the hope of progressing to round four. While the Gills are the hosts to Crystal Palace U21's in the EFL Trophy at Priestfield. Both the midweek games are on telly, sadly the top of the table clash at the weekend is not (or I don't think so?). I'm not doing very well in the prediction league at the moment, maybe I give the opposition too much respect, and I will continue that respect for the team that is above us on GD. Hopefully we get the three points, but Clemence will also know some of our weaknesses, so it's play a safe bet for me - and goodluck to SC for the rest of the season, just not this match, hopefully his team will be tired after the Chelsea game and it helps us sneak all three... Gills 1-1 Barrow (Nevitt and for them Vassell assuming no injuries)
I have to say, how many 6 pointers so far and the season has only just started, we have won one and drawn one, lets hope it is not lost one
We have a good record against these, having only lost 2 games at home since 1958. But they are at the top of the league and are coming with a manager with a point to prove. They are capable of scoring to boot. Vassell and Newby seem to link up well. But we are at home and hopefully, a big crowd we have close to 7000 at home which is a great record for this division. Tight 6 pointer but I'm in for a win MKB 1 v 0 Barrow Boys ( McKenzie )
