I was about to say "so is Murphy" and then he instantly reminded me he's been one of our better players this year.

As for the handball it looks like one of those that's given against us when we're playing in big games (like in Paris) but never given for us.

 

We're crap.. there's just far too many players that are sub standard.

 

We're actually playing pretty well against the best team in the country, we're unlucky to be behind.

Nick Pope needs dropping imo.. he's an absolute liability... doesn't even look like a professional keeper. More like some bloke they had to get to play.

 

Shouldn't be diving in though..they were going no where.

The goal was due to two wet fat challenges from Trippier who played well and Dan Burn who really isn't any use today.

 

But he still got to the ball, so didn't exactly "dive in" and get skinned - was unlucky with the rebound

 

Really though every time he's involved the other team nearly scores... the back 4 get nervous because they know he's incapable

 

Trippier was unlucky, Burn should have done better, then a deflection off Tonali

I love that everyone is focusing on the goal as the reason why we are losing when the fact that we've huffed and puffed up front but barely looked like actually scoring until the final few minutes. We've had a few passengers in the final thrid of the pitch this season but they seem to get a free pass whilst everyone tears into our defence.

Man City are going to score against everyone this season. If we want a result we are going to have to actually score a goal.

 

We certainly need a keeper with better distribution, but not sure who out of our current crop of keepers, I would replace him with

 

Pretty standard so far. No Striker and it shows. Put the young striker on for god sake with 30 mins to go. So we entered another season with no striker back up to permacrock Wilson and we have no quality on the right. Who could have predicted that............

 

We were always losing this anyway.

We need to beat Everton.
