I'm umming and ahhing. Was hoping it wouldn't sell well so I'd have plenty of time to make a decision but looks like I'll have to decide tomorrow.
Even I can't motivate myself to turn up for that one. Arsenal tickets in the letterbox when I got home though
Yeah my Arsenal ticket arrived on Monday. Looking forward to that one still for some reason. Might not be after Monday night mind!
Dom Ballard injured again, whilst on loan. Popped his shoulder out and now the decision needs to be made on whether to let it heal naturally or operate. Operating would mean a longer recovery period but not operating would mean it might happen again. Sounds similar to the ABK injury which I think he ended up going for the operation after it had reoccurred. The lad is due some good luck in his career.
Retroactive transfer window ratings THB 6/10, ok he might still be alright. Lallana 6/10 still has it, but is older than me and can only manage 50 mins a match. Taylor 6/10 passable, not KWP. Edwards why/10. Wood why/10. Sugawara 6/10, not KWP. Downes 7/10, ok I guess he is one of our senior players now, can kind of do it in the PL. Diaz ****/10, an event horizon of chance creation. Archer ?/10, I have no ****ing idea. Fernandes 7/10, ok he is quite good but in a **** team. Fraser 6/10, squad player at PL level shouldnt be starting. Ramsdale 8/10, wasted on us. Can't be bothered to rate Cornet yet. I know it looks like ****, our squad gets the formatting it deserves.
Disagree on Edwards, he was always someone we were bringing in for the near future. Fernandes is at least an 8 from me too. He's class.
I get that Stephens is a scapegoat, but being glad that he is suspended is beyond daft. Like it or not he is our 3rd choice CB, and we will likely play 3 at the back against Arsenal.
Hasn't played for over a year. Injury prone. Bad attitude. EDIT: Also, isn't this your second match thread?
Everyone keeps going on about the Derby points record. It would actually be quite funny to beat it. I mean, if we're gonna be sh*t, might as well be famously, comically sh*t. It's like when you read about an obscure Austrian team that hasn't won for 40-something games. Its kind of endearing. Imagine if we get our first win in April. The whole country will rejoice!!
Yep. I'm doing the threads no one else wants to and I've saved Loading for Leicester! As for attitudes, is Stephens really much better than ABK? If your reaction to getting sent off is throwing your toys out of the pram and shouting all kinds of abuse at the officials it suggests he is looking for someone else to blame for his own stupidity which isn't a good look, particularly as captain.
Re: Match threads. Okay but if we lose to Arsenal, then it's obviously all your fault. Re: Stephens/ABK, yeah fair enough.
Yeah I actually agree with this. Some of my favourite times following Saints have been when we've been terrible. If we're down by Feb then the remaining away games will be great fun. Brighton in 22/23 is my favourite away game in the VAR era.
I remember standing right behind Prutton on the sideline when he pushed that lino. That was a relegation year too. I quite enjoyed it
We could even adapt our undefeated song from last season. Eleven, eleven, without winning Eleven, eleven, I say Eleven, eleven, without winning Playing football the championship way
