It's 100% this. I was about 2000 place in the queue yet I could have gone and ordered. There's zero chance it would have been fulfilled and now they have back orders.

I get it was a nice number releasing 1904 of them. But this was such a balls up

 

I wonder if they have the same number of every size
instead of 90% XXXL

 

Apparently the staff had to dip into the players stock in order to sell more Medium and Large

 

This is true. They rolled two boxes out as I got to the till. Fortunately, I’m long past worrying about purchasing Mediim and Large’s!!
Still, they got just over £250 out of me!!

 

I missed out after queuing online for 2 hours.

 

Are the original 1,904 kits run individually numbered or identifiable as such in any way?

Yeah, that’s what I mean. I was something like 140th in the queue as I had the webpage open for a bit this morning and all sizes were still available. If they’re still all available now, I think that’s just an error on their end. Even though it’s gone through and taken money out, I have no idea if I’ll get mine.

If they have that many player editions it makes you wonder if they plan to roll it out for another game

 

Club has sent an email to say they are going to reorder some more.

 

I'm not really into buying kits (unless for my kids), but got this for posterity.

That’s another issue as the player-spec ones are much tighter. I ordered mine with the understanding they’d be the replica regular fit ones.

 

I suspect you'll get one of the re-orders if you ordered online so should be ok. Apparently the player specs were just being sold to stem the crowd somewhat

 

Yeah, me neither. I don’t bother with the regular home/away/third season shirts but a special edition one I might get. I got the Matchwinner 1990/92 retro shirt and I’ve got this anniversary one along with the jacket.

 

Hopefully. I usually wear a medium or sometimes large (I play it safe and size up to large for football shirts) but the player-spec ones are ridiculously tight.

 

As of 11:30 online, no XL or XXL shirts available, also no XL jackets. However, XXL jackets still available.

 

It was going to be for my lad. He loves all the limited stuff. Try again next time.

 

The latter you mentioned were the last I bought for me.

Hopefully, the original 1,904 shirts will have some sort of identifier/hallmark. That said, I ordered around 10am so mine might be bought from the ghost stock.

 

Makes perfect sense,limiting was wrong and it saves the e.bay entrepreneurs from scamming genuine fans who couldn't get one.
