He's still well liked there, I was chatting to some of their fans last season and they all wanted him to do well. - they even asked me about him saving the dog down Roker beach
Top lad, will go down in my book as a little Sunderland legend. Liked him from the start. Didn't he stop for some lass and her bairn who had broke down anarl ? I bet he's a great influence within the team.
I was at Shrewsbury when he scored his first goal for Sunderland. Clear to see what it meant to him after he struggled to perform in his first few appearances here.
Rumour doing the rounds (that’s all it is at the moment) mayendas took a knock in training and may miss Saturday, who would come in if so? Wilson up top or Rusyn for his pressing? Think I’d rather see Wilson given a go personally
Cheers RTB great thread as always looking forward to this one after missing last 2 with being away at work, I’m hoping for a good solid performance down there and an early goal to settle us down 2-0 to the lads enjoy your day at the match and safe travels to all COME ON
Never thought last season I’d be worried Mayendas would be missing from the match day team, the lad has come on leaps and bounds and in my opinion will only get better, hopefully it is just a rumour
Over the course of a season a point on the road is fine, if you are winning all your home games. I dont think Regis thinks like that, based on their last league game, I think we will be going for 3 points, and I think we will get them
I think they are a canny side to be fair. Some strong individuals. However, they have played midweek and got the run around from City. Hoping some of them maybe feeling the pace. I would still be content with a point at 17.00 tomorrow.
He did, didn't he say they were talking and she had no clue what who he was and asked what he did for a job? Which brings me to my favourite moment of him being here when he was helping install the seats and the bloke says to him should sign it incase you make it . Bet he told he tells that story all the time and has a laugh at his own expense with it!
I put bbc news on tv this morning and the digital clock bottom corner of screen was 09-09 its a sign its a sign
Not many teams will come to the SOL and fail to trouble us or be as stubborn as Carrick. RLB and our forwards embarrassed him by standing off his 'masterplan'. It'll be a team like Oxford who'll see the game as a 'free hit' and really go for us ... ... as we saw at Plymouth if it's a high scoring messy game it becomes much less predictable.
According to the guest on 'What the Falk' podcast Watford had a very good second half at the Etiad stadium and pulled a goal back against Man City. Unsure what sort of team City put out but worried Watford may have just found their mojo under Clevely. This could be a really tough game.
