A load of Coventry fans calling for Robins to be sacked. Think he probably deserves more time but I'm not sure how i'd be reacting right now if we had started like they have.
Fans make a habit of calling for coaches to be sacked in this country. Arteta was getting grief not so long ago. You have to hope those at higher levels are intelligent enough to ignore them. If Robins record there doesnt get him time to remedy things then I would be saddened. Mind you, I probably shouldnt be surprised. The modern game is barmy most of the time.
Most of the Coventry fans I've seen online want him to stay. He's worked wonders there but every manager has a shelf life. Can't remember who it was, but one manager said that after a few years the players just need to hear a different voice...
It's why a lot of Italian and Spanish managers move on after 3 years in a role and why Jack Charlton used to believe that you shouldn't stay longer than 4 years in a job. The ones who stay longer tend to freshen things up every few years, either rebuilding the team, which can mean regular turn over of players, or refreshing the coaching staff (Alex Ferguson did this pretty regularly). Robins has done really well for them, but as you say ever manager has a shelf life. It may be he's done as much as he can with this Coventry squad right now, but he can't refresh his coaching staff for fresh voices and can't refresh the squad without a massive overhaul that might knock them back a few steps.
Think Ten Haag will be gone by the end of today, some Coventry fans dont want Robbins to go but they current form isnt great and 2 wins in 17 ( carried on from last season) is sacking stuff. Martin at southampton is close to going, Hull's coach is close to going and Rohl at Wednesday.
Hull manager just won last 2 comfortably n no chance sheff wed will get rid of Rohl Martin is an interesting one, as I know some on here massively rate him - I don't, needs to adapt his game at times as Southampton won't have a chance of staying up if they continue to create little
Lots of fans I know arent happy, and feel like hes stubbornness will be the reason they go down, and their next two are a South Coast "derby" against Bournemouth and Arsenal before the international break
I get managers having a style of play or an identity but got to also adapt to get results Southampton pass out from the back but that's so hard to do in the PL and they don't create a lot
