I'm trying to bring the level of the thread back down to where it started ...

... people keep polluting it with things that are clever and funny.

Not a joke as such, but here goes.

The Mrs wanted to go to the pictures yesterday, so looked online to book. Metrocentre Odeon, £13.99 each. ****ing how much....to see a film?
    Brainwave.
Checked on Blue Light Card app, and sure enough they do cinema tickets.
Selected appropriate cinema, and came up with combo deal, £8.00 each. Result.
Went to cinema and showed them the QR code on my phone, all smug in my money saving wisdom. I'd only bloody bought two huge buckets of popcorn and a two 1ltr fizzy pops....not bloody cinema tickets.

Still had to pay full whack to get in.

    <laugh> Nice one mate!

I was worse than that for Plymouth though.

Booked my bus to Edinburgh airport, downloaded my boarding pass and booked a Friday night hotel, outside Plymouth, which was £30 while the other lads we're paying three times that. I'd booked a hire car so thought I may as well book in online. I entered all my details including the driving licence date of expiry ... which was the 12th of September, the day before <laugh>

This was Friday 13th and too late to get a replacement so I had to lose my hotel fee, pay for a bus to a different hotel and get a bus to Temple Meads, on the Saturday, then pay for a train to Plymouth and back. I emailed Hertz to cancel my £50 hire car, no refund, and they replied informing me of my additional £150 cancellation fee <yikes>

I thought 'f*ck that', went on the NatWest app, froze my credit card and reported it lost ...

... there's more chance of Rigg playing for Scotland than Hertz ever seeing a penny <laugh>

That's the reason I'm not allowed to do anything on the internet other than football related issues.

For future reference you can get cinema tickets on there, just choose the right option!

You only save a couple quid a ticket like!

Price of a cinema ticket is a joke these days. They must play to a near empty room 90% of the time!

One time we had free tickets to vue someone gave us the vouchers they got from their bank. We took the kids to see a new Disney pixar. The cinema were selling themed cups for the film, about £10 each for a plastic cup! I hate paying over the odds for ****e but the Mrs says get them one we had free tickets so I say to the bloke I'll have two! Do you want a drink in them I'm thinking of course ya muppe, I'm not going to not want them filling am I! I assumed the drink was included in the price, no it was another ****ing £8 a drink. Cost me best part of £50 for two drinks and a popcorn. No wonder they gave the ****ing tickets away free! <laugh>

I checked when I got back home, and could have got the cinema tickets for £8.40 each....if I'd chose the right bloody option!!

All I took from that advert, which I know is British made, but sounds really odd when dubbed with an Australian accent, is that the mother is teaching the little girl to beg.
