I love every single player, they're all mint! Young players will have off days, so do older players for that matter though, but I can't remember having a squad like this, ever! The bench is quality, we have good players not even getting on the bench! As you say, not getting carried away, the championship is a savage league to get out of and its a long old slog, but I feel I'll be going in to every game this year thinking if we play to even 70% of what we're capable of, with reggies guidance, we have a really good chance of getting the points!
I have met Micky Gray on more than one occasion and TBF he is a pretty odious man and I personally do not like him. Others may have their own opinion but that is mine.
So quick to be pessimistic, they are. They wait for people to get carried away then if a player has a **** game, there's hell on. Mind, I don't know if there's many on here that do this, but I've seen it OTR.
Mickey's got that wrong, the evidence just doesn't support what he's saying. He'd be best advised to leave his current involvement in the game at commentating for Talksport.
Over the road is full of them mate. There are one or two on here, but not that many in comparison. I hardly ever bother with going over there these days. I hate the repetitive negativity and the almost constant expression of impending doom.
If we’d have sold Neil, Rigg, Jobe, Cirkin, Hume and Roberts, Mickey Gray would have a point. What we’ve done is sold 2 players who were very good for us over a period of time and both sales have proved to be very shrewd moves. The level of ignorance is astounding.
The atmosphere has been unreal every home game so far, this press RLB has implemented has us off our seats a lot cheering us on. Even when we sat off against boro when we eventually did press it was getting everybody up for it. Also, Chris Rigg must have been on cloud 9, the whole stadium was singing his name for a solid 2-3 minutes. Must be unreal for him
A viewpoint i've had for a while now is that a lot of ex professionals really have no clue on how the sport works. It's as if they don't understand the financial rules that are in place and they just ignore precedent that has been set by clubs throughout the world. You have to sell to reinvest. It's as simple as that. If Gray doesn't understand that, he shouldn't be speaking on the subject.
And mine, a second rate wrong un , and a very lucky one at that. He would do well to keep his mouth shut imo.
