    HUME - 7
    CIRKIN - 8
    MEPHAM - 8
    O'NIEN - 8
    NEIL - 7
    RIGG - 8
    JOBE - 8

To be honest we didn't get out of third gear nor did we need to, our best work was either defensively or on the break.

he’s so disciplined off the ball. Can see why Reggie would stick with him, just for that

Can't argue with those scores. Mepham, cirkin, Bellingham and Rigg fighting it out for motm for me. Under normal circumstances I'd of given it to jobe for his amazing 2nd half but you have to get an extra 100 points for match winning moments of genius so I'm agreeing with sky on this one...all hail Chris Rigg. An absolute pleasure to watch!

Yeah mate ill praise us all day long, but also slag us off when i feel its needed. Thank god i was wrong about Mayenda.

Some on here hate criticism though despite being as honest as i can with my opinion. Its not allowed now though so it seems, so take care mate. You are one of the good lads.

Just back and what an excellent win. Was a hard watch at times allowing them to have the ball so much but a tactical master stroke from RLB. They expected us to press tried to suck us in but we held off and kept our shape their defenders didn't know what to do. No doubt their manager and supporters will say they controlled the game. No they didn't they had a lot of the ball but passing it sideways across our box and having 1 shot on target is pointless. Theres more than one way to skin a cat as they say. Would have loved Mundles's free kick to have went in and a shout out for Mepham though he was quietly excellent.

Same old story for us unfortunately. Pass pass pass and no end product. Miss a golden chance to open up the game in our favour (Conways header) but miss and then concede from what comes from another individual mistake (Ayling). From there on it was a pretty simple task for you. Sit in, men behind the ball and create a low block. Thought the game as a whole was a pretty poor one, with not much quality or clear cut chances for either team.
Mayenda was your best player. Had Ayling on toast all game.
The second half today was as bad as I’ve seen us play in a while. Slow, ponderous passing just for the sake of it.
If I’m being completely honest I didn’t think you were that impressive. But then again you probably didn’t need too be. You stuck to your game plan of sitting in and it worked a treat.

Have to talk about Dan Neil mind. Every game it is more and more apparent he can not play CDM. People just running off him all game today.

Trust me every boro fan is sick of this slow lethargic passing. We’ve scored one goal from open play so far… we are aware more then anyone that possession means nout

Only saw the last 25 mins. Bit stressful at the end. In that time Mepham and Jobe stood out. Fitness levels gone up a notch since last season.

There wasn't a lot of dazzling attacking going on from either side, so not a great one for neutrals, but the way we controlled the game and defended as a unit was the impressive part of the match. Your lack of end product was because we didn't let you have any.

CDM is definitely Dan Neils best position imo. Where would you have him?

In Riggs place. Rotated obviously. It's definitely not his best position. It's not a surprise that he looks way off it this year compared to last, even though we are playing better as a team etc.
