Coyle (AGAIN) Palmer Slater (Honourable mentions for Bedia, who ran his socks off with little service, and Pandur)
Coyle - captains performance continues to prove the doubters wrong, Drameh - good defensively and in attack, will only get better Pandur - another who is proving the doubters wrong Special.mentions to Palmer, Slater, the former grew into the game, the latter seemed to change the dynamic of it
Coyle - another Captain’s performance Millar - really changed the game in our favour when he came on, although needs to improve his delivery. Slater - also made a big impact when he came on, always looks better in an advanced midfield role. I thought Palmer was a more likely candidate than Omur to get hooked at half time but improved massively in the second half. Drameh, Pandur and Zambrano had decent games. Belloumi looks like he’ll be an exciting watch once he’s up to speed. I’d like to see Burstow get 15-20 minutes at the end of a game to see what he can do against tired defenders but that’s maybe going to be less likely once Pedro comes in. Our delivery first half and early second was woeful but we do seem to be controlling large parts of games and getting into good positions. If we can improve our end product and not be quite as open at the back at times, we might not do as bad as it was starting to look like we would. TWT
Coyle Palmer Mclouhglin could have equally put Jones there they both played well. Would have had Millar in the top spot but for the fact that his crossing was awful. To his credit he knew it as well.
Five points for first choice, three for second, one for third. Palmer 157 Coyle 113 Millar 66 Slater 39 Dramah 31 Pandur 3 Jones 2 Zambrano 1 Belloumi 1 McLoughlin 1 Once we'd scored we battered them. Poor opposition or not, it shows the confidence that scoring brings. Walter's won his first game. Next target - score the first goal and take the lead.
