A very good win chasing 193 against the Aussies, the beauty of T/20 difficult to predict, Curren always going to bowl the last over a brilliant finisher (normally) always going to be taken on sometime. Interesting final game now

Persistent bad weather in Greater Noida meant Afghanistan's one-off Test with New Zealand was washed out without a ball bowled

New Zealand's one-off Test match against Afghanistan has been washed out without a single ball bowled across the five days.

The match in the Indian city of Greater Noida became just the eighth men's Test in history to be abandoned without any play.

Persistent rain across the five days led to the abandonment, with days three, four and five all called off because of overnight rain.

It is also the first time a men's Test in India has been completely washed out.

The last men's Test to have been postponed without a ball bowled was in 1998, when New Zealand hosted India in Dunedin.

The Black Caps now head to Sri Lanka for a two-Test series later this month, returning to India for three Tests in October before hosting a three-Test series with England across November and December.

    Anyone following the County Championship?

It's ridiculously late in the year to be playing especially with the amount of dampness in the air and it's reflected in some of the scores..... Warwickshire 78 all out v Essex 50/5....
    Lancs 140 all out v Somerset 27/1
Gloucester 109 all out v Sussex
    Durham 190/5 v Surrey

Somerset cliosing the gap on Surrey with maximum bowling points.....

Still makes for an exciting finish to the season...

Aussies strolling the ODI, with Travis Head batting superbly. Earlier Duckett was going well on 95 when he got out to a shot which would have graced the U8 girl’s first ever training session.

Too easy for the Aussies, at 30 over England had won, soft belly

Somerset let it slip in the last two days and Surrey are County Champions for the third year in a row. Ciderboys still haven't won the title......

Lancashire favourites for relegation despite beating Somerset. The two teams above them play each other in the final fixture and a draw with a couple of bonus points will be enough to see them both safe. 8 points for draw has really not been a great idea...

Good pub quiz question. I’m sure you know the other two counties which have never won it…..

Surprisingly quiet on here even though the 3rd ODI against Australia is taking place in Durham..... Aussies post an imposing 304/7 from their 50 overs.... 78 added in final 8 overs.... tough target for England given last 2 batting performances.

Less than a run a ball needed. Just don't throw wickets away.

Nice result for England, and Brook batted superbly. Only have to win the last 2 to nick the series, trouble is they have Head and Zampa to come back in. Oh well

    Well done to England,
The hosts had much the better of the conditions after winning the toss and dominated in the run chase, ending Australia’s 14-game winning streak in ODIs, ahead of their return to Lord’s for the first time since last year’s dramatic Ashes Test. Nothing wrong with a indifferent result ........... makes the next one more interesting.

If you want a seat with an unrestricted view for one of the first three days of the Test against India at Lords next summer it will cost you between £120 and £175. But it’s between £90 and £150 for day 4.

I seem to remember that on day 4 of the Test against Sri Lanka Lords was only a third full. I wonder why.

I’ve no idea, follow Somerset from afar being the only county side in the West Country, although we do have a dealership within sight of the County Ground.
I’d guess at Durham and Kent…..
