In terms of attackers though he’s using players that have been here less than 3 weeks altogether and the last attack that started played their first game as a trio. People seem to think coaches are miracle workers and would be able to get them firing instantly.

I’m not even convinced by Walter but people just have no clue about the complexities of the professional game and the enormous challenge Walter is facing due to recruitment. (Not aimed at you Shark).

I played with 2 ex pros the other day who have grown up playing with each other. The chemistry between the pair of them was ridiculous they would pass to each other off the sound of their voices, they’d know exactly where each other were just from muscle memory. I really don’t think people understand how long it can take for players to form chemistry playing with each other. There is only so much a coach can do, that being said, Walter’s tactics are suicidal at times and do need tweaks for us to see better returns

Interesting what Fletch had to say now he's not employed by the club.

In the last couple of episodes.

You've got a direct club employee there who still has a relationship with the players asking certain questions, Baz alluding to be neutral but not denying anything and Burnsy just cocking an eyebrow.

And a daily mail reporter stating the ****ing obvious.

There's no conspiracy. They're journos being journos on a pod.

But don't think for a second they're less informed or more agenda driven than you are.

The majority did disagree with the Rosinior sacking.

From a footballing standpoint there is no justification.

Football entertainment had improved at the back end, had we let the leash off a bit earlier we’d have not been so far behind on goal difference but that’s part of Rosie’s learning curve I imagine he’s taken to France

I think that point is overused as I think the bigger problem is progressing the ball from the defence. And the back 5 have been here all pre-season and are still massively struggling.

The attackers, for the most part, are good players so while they won't be on the same wavelength yet, I'd expect us to fumble the odd goal if we could get the ball to them more regularly in good areas.

From what we've seen of his attacking play, it's just so one-dimensional, as it's very cross-heavy and for Championship defenders, it's too easy. We're a small side so it doesn't make sense either. And if this was the plan, surely we should've been signing taller players.

On the Pod, I think Burnsy was spot on when he said to park the bus and grind out results whilst we get players up to speed. That's where I have no sympathy at all for TW. He's chosen to play this style from the go, instead of being more pragmatic and building slowly over the coming weeks. It's extremely naive and it'll probably cost him his job.

You don't have to be ITK to know it's not a happy camp.

It's obvious, the reasons why are less clear.

For someone who gets their back up so much about people repeating things not exactly as they were said, I've gone back to listen to that specific moment in the episode. The direct quote is "There's a general feeling of frustration.. players want to win games". He then goes onto talking about the home form, but he specifically said "There's a general feeling of frustration". He answers the question. That's the players being frustrated. You really do get utterly and needlessly worked up sometimes about the wording of things as if we're all operating in a court of law where the precise word on the record has to be analysed and dissected to the umpteenth degree.

    They're clear enough alright.

Alfie-Potts-Harmer-Lambo's-Lad-Fearnley-Whittingstall pretty much sumed it up on his YouTube channel.

It’s very rare you’ll find a coach that’ll adapt to his personnel anymore. Coberan is probably the best example I can think of, he’s the one who got away

We just place a bizarre amount of emphasis on style. Coberan definitely was.

Football nowadays is just massively overcomplicated, largely by owners who don't have a clue but use clubs as vanity projects.

While I agree somewhat, you see dinosaurs like Moyes, Wilder, Bruce etc. largely run out of the game because it isn't as simple as stripping back all the complexity and achieving success.

I should have said “wanted Rosenior to stay.” Because I, for one, didn’t agree with the sacking, but wanted the gamble of a new manager who plays attacking football.

2.5 months with a new squad of players in a new league is not a long time. A lot of the players arrived late too. The Sheff Utd game is the only one we can have any real justification of analysing - and they’re a team that have come down from the Premier League! They might have played poorly, but they have a lot of quality players who would walk into our side!

We haven’t seen much promise, I agree. But my whole point is, we should see that promise in the next three. If we don’t, then it’s fair to be worried and question if he’s the right man for the job.

Just a minor one, but I'm getting kind of sick of people calling Sheffield United a PL team as if their spell in the PL wasn't one of the worst in its history. They were absolutely destroyed and their squad was weaker than it had been the season prior in the Championship. They have PL money but they didn't have a PL team. They have brought in some astute signings, but let's be real, Moore and Rak-Sakiyi - a kid who has previously played no higher than Kamara has - are not PL calibre signings that should see them wiping us off the pitch.
