I know Coldplay divide opinion, but this a brilliant track and their early stuff stands the test of time for me. Some may remember I said my lads band were invited down to Soho by a promoter to play a gig. They did it Friday and went down really well. Heard today they are being added to the promoters list and will get more London gigs. Happy days. Yellow was the only cover in their 9 track set. Crowd absolutely loved it. None of the band alive when it was recorded, and probably half the audience too. Funny old thing music.
Liked the first album, then went off them as Chris Martins turned into a bit of a bell end. Then went to see them at Wembley and they were absolutely brilliant, he also wasn't as big a prick as I thought
Not sure on folks thoughts here. Despite all the rubbish, the early music was something to behold, whether it be The Jacksons or Wacko himself. This one for Tito.
After all the posts on Bowie, a big ( probably all time) fave of mine given the huge variety he was capable of, I couldn’t resist one of his more alternative tracks…characteristically melodic but not sure how he kept a straight face ….
Can't argue with that, as good today as the first time I heard it ... ... it sounded like a modern classic then and still does now to my ears. Much like this beauty from Reef ...
