He doesn't seem to know what his role is meant to be. This is a problem unanimous across our midfielders. I think the system is to blame. Too chaotic and lacks clearly defined roles for the CMs beyond 'press like a madman'.
When he gets the ball he is at least looking to turn and go forward. Not always passing back like those around him.

This game is crying out for one of the midfielders to put their hand up and run the game. As the senior face in there that should be Bentancur this game but he’s hiding a bit, barely even shows for the ball when the CBs have it. Disappointing.

Seriously...wtf does Ange see in Werner? He is awful in everything he does except run around a lot. Mind you, he hardly stands out in terms of how the rest are playing... Woefully embarrassing 38 mins gone and not a single actual attempt from us
