I think we have controlled the game - but then whenever we give it away we look like conceding! Bree is too slow of movement and thought. Wood can’t handle Beto - but Beto is the one player we desperately need so that isn’t a surprise. Lallana and Aribo have been very good. Lesley… will get there but just not making the best decisions. Cornet looks very good but no end product yet. Armstrong not offering a lot.
I kinda agree with your first paragraph but also kinda think it means we don't really control games! Saw it many times last year.
It’s reminded me a lot of last years games where we are comfortable in possession but not really doing a lot then lose the ball and are incredibly open

I cant remember any time Armstrong has ever been particularly good as a pure 9 tbh, even in the Championship. Massively better on the wing.
Agreed but against Premiership teams they punish you more often than not It helps having a striker too
Pretty awful but still in it. Lots of pointless possession, Armstrong isolated, no creativity in the final third - usually go backwards from here and few shots on target. I actually think this is a game for Stewart or Archer.
