Don't disagree, but the point I was making was the issues behind and alongside a forward whose only raison d'etre is to convert chances. Yes he missed a couple against Leicester and certainly the header was a gift, but he has a right to expect more from those around him.

Do I think he's the Messiah? Bloody hell No! He's barely just a Naughty Boy, but he's pretty much all we've got for the next 6 months so we need to at least try and help him! <laugh>

He will need more and better service no doubt about that but in games like yesterday, you’re not gonna have a huge amount of chances, pains me to say it but they probably have the best defence and defensive unit/ structure in the league. Even despite our inefficiencies it’s tough to have imagined having a bunch of chances at goal, but in those rare moments where you may have just one goal scoring chance, I don’t think either of our CFs are the ones you’d want to rely on. If it wasn’t for the fact we need to get a return on the £65m this summer, I’d be half tempted to go back with sticking Son through the middle, the system’s **** at the moment anyway so I’d rather just have our best goal threat in the area where in theory there’ll be more chances than there would be out wide or deeper.

We've got to visit relegation before Levy sits down and thinks about getting together a team not just 11 signings!?

I might as well get ready to start updating the "Postecoglou watch" thread, whenever these "we're behind the manager" reports come out, they're sacked within about 3-6 months, especially at this club. Watford and Chelsea probably the only two with quicker timeframes.

    Graham Potter the obvious candidate

He ticks the main box in that he has managed Chelsea so that will be enough to convince Levy. Just waiting until next month when his compensation ends to avoid paying Chelsea a fee.

The club have well and truly snookered themselves if they are considering sacking him.

You can't sign a bunch of 18 year olds and then demand that your manager produces results immediately.

The constant chopping and changing managers is what led to us clogging the squad with well paid turds and losing our best player.

After the disappointing loss, the Australian was asked about a pre-season interview where he said "usually in my second season I win things".

He told Sky Sports: "I'll correct myself - I don't usually win things, I always win things in my second year. Nothing's changed.

"I've said it now. I don't say things unless I believe them."

I’d take just winning a few games at the moment, let alone trophies <laugh>

9th is about right for Richarlison, Solanke, Johnson, Kulusevski, Bissouma, Sarr and Maddison.
