I have to agree the oposition are slicing through our midfield.

 

I think a win and a draw would be enough ,especially if it's good football. I honestly think he should be given some time but I don't think he will be

 

if he’s not ,who should replace him?
Surely on the 4th time of asking Acun will appoint an experienced Championship
manager who has actually got a team promoted from the division?

 

This thread was obviously started as a joke (in keeping with the previous managers), but I do worry people have taken the idea so seriously already. I know it’s been a bad start, but do we really want to be a club who sacks a manager without giving him at least half a season? I hope Acun is more patient. I think things will come good. UTT.

Where has this idea that we got Walter because he was cheap come from? I think the Acun has proved by now he isn’t afraid to spend money, I really doubt he’s skimping on the manager.

 

Yeah we should be able to have a free choice from Russell Martin, Vincent Kompany, Enzo Maresca, Rob Edwards and Kieran McKenna.

 

I've genuinely no idea who we'd go for ( or more importantly who would come ) but imo we should give him some time.

Erm let's go with (semi)educated guess.... It's difficult to turn the tide when fans and press feel so strongly so quickly about a manager and his competence/ability.

Sometimes a player just doesn't fit a team and from time to time it happens with managers also..... Imo it's not even his fault ( so far ), he's been screwed from above in the window ( until the last minute if we're being kind ) and still didn't get a striker. His performance was going to be under the microscope instantly from some due to the popularity of our previous manager and where we finished last season and anything less the perfection was going to draw unfair (some would say ) comparison. I think he deserves 10 games from the close of the window, but if thinks don't improve almost instantly I'm not sure he'll see that

He’s definatley drawn the short straw and been delt a **** hand from above.
His interview after Fridays game didn’t do him any favours.
I’m not sure acun will rush to sack him as he’ll get some ****, also I do t think he’s getting a decent replacement

 

His interview after Sheff Utd really has increased the concerns I already had with him. To say the performance was exciting and that's how he wants us to play moving forward is a red flag. We hardly look a threat, our arses fall out around the opponents box and we're split apart like moses parted the red sea at the back. If that's his plan moving forward. I don't want it. They definitely do. The manager’s tactics may well be all wrong but that doesn’t mean the players can’t shoulder some of the blame. The final ball is ****ing cack. I’m talking about some of our better players here as well. Ömür, Mehlem and Millar in particular can dribble the ball forward and look like we’re about to cut through the opposition only for them to fluff the final pass or wait too long and lose the ball. Bedia’s finishing was poor on Friday night too. There’s really no excuse for Millar to get beaten by Moore in the build-up for their second goal either.

 

I think Walter’s been hamstrung by our shoddy and delayed recruitment this summer. I think he deserves time but like you, I don’t believe he’ll get it. He’s the fall guy for the owner’s megalomania. Acun will sack him, do a Q&A and throw him under the bus like he did Allsop because he makes decisions based on the mood of social media.
