Looking at the next 7 fixtures until the start of November I reckon that’s the time period that Manning has to turn things around and prove we’re not going to be in a relegation fight

    Oxford H
    Swansea A
    Sheff Wed H
    Cardiff H
    Middlesbrough A
    Stoke A
    Leeds H

For me, I think we need a minimum of 9 points from those games, hopefully more

I think Oxford will be well up for their game against us. They feel Manning did the dirty on them and they will be desperately keen to rub his face in it.
It will be a VERY difficult game.

I didn’t see the second half - had a date with Europa Point (the southernmost tip of Gibraltar), hot sunshine and a cold beer. Thank God.
I assume he was predictably introduced at about 70 minutes as per usual and I was trying to guess why Manning does this time and time again.

Looking at those fixtures, the next four are really important, 3 of which are at home. I would suggest we need minimum 2 wins from them, and preferably no loses.

    Good on you mate.

I suppose he's 'different' and LM hopes for a goal from nowhere.
He's clutching at straws.......not the best way of managing a football team.

I think it's a joke we've spent £6million on Armstrong and Fally as, so far, he only plays one of them.
It's mad spending that money if you don't play them together, it's not that we've got money to burn.
He has to play them because going forward we don't seem to have a plan, I was going to say clue, as I'm not sure of what anything Manning is doing right now.

Although we weren't playing well yesterday there wasn't much in the game till Max did what happens every week somewhere pi**ing about passing for the sake of passing.
The first goal completely floored us as a team bereft of confidence and lacking balls to get back in the game.
We need a few to stand up.....that's a start......it's got to come from strong leadership with a backbone.
    Over to you LM.

You might get away with that sort of thing at L1 or L2 level but not in the Championship

You wouldn't get away with Max's cock up in junior football.

Try as hard as I possibly can I find my support for Liam dwindling day by day because his new look squad is really not achieving anything other than total confusion. More money was spent on players who are not meeting the expectations and are played rarely together and it makes me wonder what Liam was trying to do with his supposed new style of football. It is a very common question each and every season as to why we never seem to be able to use our previous campaign as a starting point for the next campaign as our plans and hopes go up in flames way too soon after the start of the season. Yet again here we are having discussions of where we are going so wrong and why it happens so consistently because, let's face it, we are already calling for a review our our new manager's accomplishments and failures so early in the new season. There are way too many players on our squad that are not up to it at this level and it irks me that we always seem to think that it will be good enough to be a mid-table team which is galling due to our owner's insistence that we planning a trip to the top.

I think we are in reality a team with little or no interest in achieving success and as long as we continue to do things on the cheap and employ either total yes men or second best at this level we will continue in this division until such time as the management actually cares about the team and it's fantastic supporters. I truly felt for the brave hundreds that made the trip up to Blackburn only to see us capitulate again in an embarrassing manner, and if only the team could reach that level of commitment I would be happy enough. Why on earth we didn't get rid of Mehmeti is beyond my comprehension because he offers nothing and his attempts yesterday to be the tough guy was laughable at best. Too many players not up to the task combined with coaching and tactics that have to be questioned will always make a poor team, but the saddest part is even if Liam is shown the door the next through the door could be even worse. I'm getting tired of the same unanswered questions arising every season with no hope of anyone ever seeing the problems involved and even less hope of the proper resolutions being made. Bloody sickening and so sad. :headbang:

It was the sort of sketch you see in kids football brain fart passing to nothing at all.

To be fair Max has saved us on a number of occasions. He fkd up on that one and gifted a goal.

Matty James missing him big time.

Should have kept James and binned Williams.

Agree, I think he’s well in credit. It was coming tbf. We aren’t good enough on the ball to mess about with it at the back like we were doing, it was an accident waiting to happen, it was inevitable. They’re obviously under instructions to play like that. Personally I put it on LM. It’s Crazy imo

    Agree
But current form suggests we’ll do well to even get 9 points from those fixtures

Agree completely with Ashton about putting the blame on Manning.
I disagree blaming Williams for their 2nd goal. Vyner, under instruction, passes a nothing ball to Williams who's heavily marked.....yet another accident waiting to happen.

I've banged on about this ridiculous passing for the sake of passing and been told by more than 1 on here......you're old....it's the modern game.
The midern passing and playing out from the back comes under 'risk and reward'. What we're witnessing with Manningball is the bloody risk isn't worth the imaginary reward.

I’d agree with that, I don’t rate Williams.

No, sorry, RP, Williams was at fault for losing the ball; he wasn't strong enough. That said, the Blackburn lad ran through to the edge of the box with no challenges, which is not good enough from the midfield and defence.
