going by the games I've watched so far I can't see any sign of this attacking heart attack football I don't think all of the players have bought into Tim Walter style of football waving his arm around on the touchline like a mad man is hardly going to inspire the players
Let it be known in time immemorial that I,Ric Glasgow, being of partial sound mind, haven't got a clue how this is all going to pan out.. I wasn't a huge fan of the Football being served up under Rosenior,it was stagnant at times and I thought we had much more to offer. That said,I was stunned when he was despatched and I felt there was far more to it than a mere falling out over the owner not liking Roseniors brand of Football,He employed Rosenior FFS and could've dealt with it long before showing him the door. We then headhunt an unemployed German who would alter the whole dynamic of Football as we know it,countless YouTube videos followed showing this revolutionary new style that would sweep the opposition off the pitch.. He then goes through the process of having the rug pulled from under his feet and our best players going off to market.Never mind,we'd bring in 16 replacements, some of whom arrived on the final minute,of the final hour on transfer deadline day.How he copes with that,we'll find out? Friday night's performance was to me,dreadful first half,a nothingness,an absent defence contributed to a calamitous goal and a portion of the fan-base booing the Team off.Second Half we pushed onto them, were unlucky not to level due to the bar and we then get ripped apart again through a quick ball,a shambolic defence and the game has gone... I was surprised that he came out after it and declared he was 'Proud' of our performance,it was our best so far?Really? Personally I saw panic in the blokes eyes and a clear example of straw clutching...Proud of a masterclass in how not to defend, please!! I wish him well, maybe he does need time,I think he'll get that,he should be afforded the opportunity to display the new crown jewels in their entirety...Then and only then,we can assess the points on the board and decide whether or not this 'Walterball' nonsense is for real.
I’ve seen enough & don’t need anymore time to recognise that Tim is out of his depth, useless at what he does & incapable of doing the job he’s employed to do. He should have gone after the Leeds game, he shouldn’t have been employed in the first place. Buying cheap carries risks, we’ve been paying the price for that from day 1. If the owner is serious about progress then he should have brought in an experienced manager & not some Ted Lasso wannabe who couldn’t manage a fart after a curry.
Come on, that's getting a bit ridiculous. It's the equivalent of missing the ship and crashing into a desert island three miles away.
there has to be a reasonable improvement in the next two months I wonder what the contract says about getting rid of him isnt it only Chelsea contracts that dont have clauses about what happens when a manager is sacked?
Been away but I don’t understand some of the comments I’m seeing on Twitter. Thought we played well in patches but currently our mistakes are getting punished and we’re not making the most of the countless promising situations we get into. Unlike the first 3 games, I think there was enough Friday and against Leeds to be positive about, and more understanding of a way of playing. We’ve lost against two promotion favourites and shown some good signs in both - think some of the outcry is ridiculous.
I’ve posted more details previously but basically he’s used the same 9 players in 11 of his 12 games. 7 have started all 5 league games & another 2 started 4 games & come on as a sub yesterday. His team has been the same yet he’s failed to even make them look like they know each other never mind look like a team Man’s a fake who’s had the owners pants down.
... and Bayern Munich's, who after 2 years with their academy, promoted him to coach of their 2nd team? And Hamburg's for nearly 3 years? Nah, don't think so. During summer's games, he had to make do with the little that was left. When the season started, he was still having to make do. Now, he's somewhere in between having to still make do whilst slowly but surely being able to play the new signings, several of whom need time to adjust to a new manager, a new country (in some cases), etc etc. Patience and realism needed.
He was unemployed for a reason. We’re seeing the reason. He was happy after Friday’s game. Happy! Let that sink in. Happy. The man’s a spiv. Almost 3 months. 12 games. 0 wins. 0 leads. 2 league goals. 1 goal from open play. No direction. No shape. No cohesion. No team ethic, no leadership on the pitch. No improvement. Nothing. Zilch. Zero. **** all. Give him more time? He’s had 3 months to show what he’s capable of & shown us all. He’ll take us down. Get him gone before he gets us that deep in the **** there’s no escape.
Watched the game then I had to travel for work so I couldn't write. It went as expected, I already wrote 0 for this game. As I said before forget winning until parchute trip ended. During the summer we ****ed our season start by being so late, no suprises here and unfortunately we started against really **** teams and lost points there already, this should be our biggest regret. Next 3 games Stoke (A), Cardiff (H), QPR(A), we need 4-5 points, otherwise I don't think Tim will be around. I suppose we will get 4 points out of these 3 games, but then until Derby game another series of losses-draws expect us (Norwich-Sunderland-Burnley), where I believe Tim will be sacked, right after Burnley game. Tim's problem is he was not assertive enough to state we need players early, probably they had conversations in background and Tim already gave hints in couple of interviews but those are not gonna pressure your board, sometimes you have to throw so called "brain team" under the bus to save your seat. You are dependent on these people and if people you are dependent are not doing their job and yet if they are closer to owner than you to influence, you have to use emergency button, you have to use people closer to you which are fans of the club in this case. Unfortunately, a manager's fate is more dependent on managing people around you rather than tactical details on field.
Whatevers happened till now **** it Lets go to stoke And beat the **** ****s Everyone can breath a sigh of relief And our season can start
I've read them and it's fair to say you do make some valid points. You're not alone, others have openly stated that he could take us down. I'm somewhere in between with what I've seen so far and given that he has yet to blood some new faces but his aftermatch comments on Friday had a red flag flapping around at half mast for me...Every game over the next month has a huge amount of importance attached to it and the owner will be running the rule over them all.
I think it's harder to get players early than you think I think we can only get people when they become available it's only the next match that Tim can realistically use all he has available I dont think that the players he has got are stand out players but they are players that can be fashioned into a team can he do that though?
Uplifting post of the day! A beacon from the doom & gloom, bickering, Rosey/Walterball. Made me chuckle…..well it may also have been the glass or three of vino. Now to the serious job in hand, a pesky little lizard snuck in through the patio door and giving me the run around. Admittedly, after a bit of liquid refreshment my reflex/reactions not quite as quick, but I’m not a tigress for nothing……
