Albrighton has announced his retirement. One of our legends. Consumate professional and a great bloke. Contributed to so much of our recent success.
Rightly received a lot of love and great messages from former team mates and fans on his post. And this one from Robert Huth
From watching snippets of games on the telly, it looks to me like we are one of the teams with the least energy and slowest reactions. When you see the energy expended by other teams - and not only the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal - to get forward in numbers or win the ball back quickly, we look very pedestrian. Do those of you who go to home matches think that is a fair comment? When we go forward we don't seem to go whole heartedly and force the opposition back and pen them into their own half. When we lose the ball there are too many players jogging back instead of busting a gut. And we don't have midfield players closing opponents down quickly or looking behind them to see where opponents they were marking have moved to. Hopefully now the transfer window is closed and we have the squad sorted we can learn over the international break how to play as an effective team.
Leicester win appeal against decision over PSR charge - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/ckg54xkqnzlo Great news.
Get in there - always suspected we had something up our sleeve on this as it just seemed bizarre to take on the 'regime' otherwise ...
We amended our accounting date, so, on the date the charge applied, we'd already been relegated. Our new hero, Nick De Marco KC argued we weren't a PL club and therefore the rule/charge wasn't valid. The EFL charge we appealed early this year, was thrown out as we argued we were a PL club at that time and the charge wasn't valid.
The Premier League aren't happy! Watch VAR f*** us over now, every week. The PL have never liked us since we won the league and it will be interesting how much they fine us over us surrounding the ref against Villa last week!
Some more excellent performances from our defenders on the latest Internationals - makes you wonder why they struggle so much in the Prem
Only a matter of time before Palace start to fire so pretty happy with 2-2. I know at 2-0 we should close it out but when you look at the 2 goals we conceded both were a little unfortunate, first one a very dodgy call and second a bad mistake. Thought Skipp and Ndidi were exceptional and a draw in London is a great result.
If we were wondering how the Premier League were going to get their revenge for them not being able to dock us points then we got the answer yesterday. The linesman had a better view of the position of the players than VAR for the first Palace goal. How they could possibly overturn his decision based on an image from that angle is unbelievable. When it comes to 'cheating' then it is the Premier League that should be in the dock.
