Top 6 is where we finished and we lost in the playoff, virtually ANY manager in the Championship could have managed that with the team we had Bielsa inherited an average team, a team far worse than what we have now and look what he did with them. When we have a good squad of players you can’t keep dismissing them as not good enough, they are good enough
Well I’m sorry but you can’t just call for the manager to be sacked if you have no idea who is you want replace him that’s any good or available. To me we have a coach who’s proven that he can get a club promoted.
Okay so you think this team is not good enough, they’re **** and we’ll be lucky for top six yes or no
Exactly. They have to prove otherwise on the pitch. On paper doesn’t matter and that’s all people are basing their greatness on
Bielsa was a once off. We’ll never see the likes again. Had ability to improve players. Very few have that ability
Totally agree but we’re never going to get another Bielsa whilst we’re in this league. We also baled on him at the first time of difficulty. You reap what you sow.
Bielsa also didn’t have almost two full squads sold on him in each of his first two seasons. Honestly people think you can flog 15 or 20 players and improve the setup. Ain’t happening
Meslier - 5. I've had enough now. His first touch in the game was a miskick in to touch. He rarely leaves his 6 yard box. He should be much more commanding in his area. Bogle - 3. Did nothing going forward, gave the ball away continuously and can't defend. Rodon - 8. Solid as it gets. Won everything that came his way. Back to last seasons form. Struijk - 8. Started the season in great form and continued today. Strong. Firpo - 7. Didn't have much defending to do but didn't create alot going forward either despite having plenty of the ball. Ampadu - 7. A strong presence in the middle of the park but wasteful in possession at times. Lacks creativity. Looked to take a bad knock. Gruev - 7. Mixed bag in midfield. Ended up at centre half. Needs to take a few more risks. Everything is very 'safe'. Aaronson - 5. Neat footwork but was the Aaronson of old this afternoon. Not physically strong enough and couldn't really have a positive impact. Gnonto - 7. Busy but drifted in and out of the game. Had a goal ruled out for offside but really should be scoring from 8 yards out with his other chance. Solomon - 6. Looked our best player going forward but can't overlook the slip which led to Burnleys winner. Joseph - 6. A 'Bamfordesque' performance. Missed a sitter, blocked Gnontos goalbound shot but worked hard. He needs to start putting chances away soon if we are going up. Subs. Piroe - 4. Forgot he came on. Rothwell - 5. Tried but ultimately failed to do anything of note. Byram - 3. Strange performance. Looked like he thought we were 1-0 up as his first thought was to get it back to Meslier as quick as possible. Ramazani - 6. Looks promising but Burnley were allowed to just pull him down or hack at him without punishment. Tanaka - n/a. Looked sloppy after travelling long distance this week. Farke - 6. Leeds dominated the game. Alot of individual player mistakes did for us today at both ends. He really needs to address his substitutions as they actually made things worse. We were very narrow when attacking and when Burnley just sat back the game was too compact.
I agree Eire, but we're stuck with a manager who can't make players better and looks like a one trick pony who can't change a game when things are going bad,
Emu did you wonder why Bogle and Firpo weren’t effective today compared to the other games? Well that would be down to Parker. Aaronson was pretty good in the first half but got nullified by Parker’s second half. Instead of the Farkes good usually brigade, some need to actually look at his record. Forget Norwich he has been worse than average everywhere he’s been and he was actual dogshyt in the prem even though he spent money. I cant listen to his press conferences or interviews because he talks shyt and as bad as Marsch although Marsch made more sense ffs. I know I’m like a broken record but trust me more and more are changing their views. So slag me off all you want but this fella failed badly last season from being top of the league. He has done nothing at Leeds yet so many Leeds fans think he has? Here’s another fact: Leeds cannot afford not to go up this season. So tell me how long you think the owners are going to let him carry on? If they start crapping themselves watch what happens
