Right then. We’ve seen this before, home game v Man Utd and 2-0 down becomes a 3-2 win. Admittedly never in our favour but that’s not important right now….
I was watching the beginning of the Louis Vitton Cup semi finals before tuning into the game. I think l will continue watching the sailing... I really thought we would get something today.
Simply a lesson in finishing today. Man U limited but clinical. Saints dominant but couldn’t finish their lunch.
Ramsdale is too good for this team. He’s going to get fed up with picking the ball out of the back of the net and leave when we’re relegated.
I think we just have to accept this is a very young and inexperienced team. We will get better through the season and hopefully will keep a lot of these guys in the Champ.
Confidence is huge in football. United came in low on it but sensed a lifeline when the pen was missed and now look full of it.
Really hope Archer doesn't dwell on that too much. It was a shocking pen but he can't take the blame for the collapse afterwards. I've liked what I've seen from him in bits so far so I hope he can put it behind him.
To be fair to Martin. We are not being punished for playing out the back this time. Just quality finishes. That still may change but if we play this way the rest of the season I will be happy. Just need to sort out the defence.
It is insane how one moment can completely swing a game. If we score that penalty we probably start playing even better and dominate the entire first half. I do worry about pur mental strength as we were by far the better team until our heads dropped
